money Market. Fbioav, Sept. 14. The stock market hat been wholly inactive for government securities, but shoes an improved feeling for fancies, which are firmer and better, Pennsylvania 6's have sdranced Canton Harlem Reading Railroad and Hudson River Railroad Erie Railroad stock has lost J. Money is exceedingly abundant with an active en quiry of paper.

We mark no change in th rates ruling in the open market, which continue at 6a6J per cent for discount of the best paper at short dates and per cent for long paper. Loans ara readily made at the previous low rates. Capitalist are at a loss how to employ their capital, and seem more anxious for certain profits, though small, than largs snd uncertain. Advices have been received by many houses in the city, of consignments of California gold to arrive in th coming months and th amount which will come in during the fall, it is estimated, will be very considerable. The pacification of affairs on the Continent of Europe, is leading (according to thB tenor of private letters by the Europa,) to re-investments in Continental stocks, withdrawing them from tbe English funds, and occasioning a re-sale of a portion ef th American stocks previously bought on Continental account.

This result was anticipated by the principal capitalists accustomed te operate in our government stocks, and hence the absence of any continued speculative movement in them. Draper Warren fc concluded thia morning by the offering of shawls which sold at good prices. The whole of the goods offered were sold, and at prices which fully stcains those ruling in private tnde. The prints sold the least favorably, though in good de mand at a price but foreign prints are coming now in so close a contact with domestio prints, that they cease to be remunerative to the foreign manufacturer! and these wen old patterns and sly lea. The domestic manufacturer can produce at a very short notice, any new and favorite style sooner than it nan be imported, which gives them a great advantage in th market The fashion of the day is also decidedly against prints) running in favor of plain goods, which Tenders prints unsaleable except at low prices. The goods wen bought principally by the city jobben, a small portion nly by the out of town buyen.

Teas The tea sal of Haggerty fc Draper, to-day, was well attended, and brought full prices, with an advance on some of the blacks, and young hyson, to an extent of 2 a 3c per lb. The disposition to buy was well evidenced, and showed a rising market. The Habtfsrd ako New Haves Railroad.
