Peter Paul Catholic Church- in Scott for Mark Randall "Lefty" Hanks, 52, who died on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette spouse and the mother of his children, Lisa Bourque Ledet. He was preceded in death by one brother, Gregory (Sib) Hanks; his mother, Jeanelle Guidry-Hanks; and his father, Wilbert J. Hanks. Mark Randall Hanks was born on December 1, 1959 in Lafayette, Louisiana and was a resident of Duson foi the past 8 years.

He was a 1977 Graduate of Northsidt High School and worked as a distribution clerk for the United States Postal Services for 34 years. Mark was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Mire, LA and a member of the Sts. Peter Paul Catholic Church Community in Scott. He enjoyed watching sports on television, particularly basketball and football. He was a huge New Orleans Saints and Hornets fan as well as a St Louis Rams fan.

He was also an avid viewer of the Weather Channel. He enjoyed bowling and attending rock concerts regularly. He loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his precious grandchildren. Most of all, he unselfishly helped his family and friends in any way that he could. Lefty will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Calaway, a resident of Scott, LA, was the son of the late Lewis Wilbur Calaway and the formed around Levy Park even at the age of 90. She was fun loving, kind and a generous lady. She is survived by her six children. Jennifer de la Houssaye of Atlanta, William de la Houssaye, Sr.

Nine grandchildren William de la Houssaye, Adrienne de la Houssaye Barras and her husband David, Nicholas de la Houssaye, Lyndsey Free Spencer and her husband, Michael, Collins Free, Kayce Williford Schrader and her husband, Jason, Karen Williford Scurry and her husband, Daniel, Caroline de la Houssaye, Allison and Thomas de la Houssaye and three great-grandchildren, Talmage Scurry, Maxx Barras and Corinne Schrader. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mrs. de la Houssaye is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, three brothers: Chester Scheffert of Lecenter, Minnesota, Harry and Ben Scheffert of Oakes, North Dakota; four sisters Edna Scheffert Weaver of Minnesota, Hattie Scheffert, Genevieve Scheffert Baker of Aberdeen, South Dakota and Irene Scheffert Wohlgemuth of Union City, California.

S. Navy WAVE in the medical division stationed in California during World War II. She was united in marriage to De Blanc Anthony de la Houssaye February 2, 1946. God blessed their union with six children. She was a lady of many talents and accomplishments of which the most important to her were eing a loving wife to her husband and caring mother to her children and grandchildren.

Mary also developed a love for gardening and soon discovered camellias with which she developed a love affair. She became very accomplished at grafting and air layering camellias and taught the members of the Lafayette Camellia Society, of which she was a member, how to do this. One of her proudest accomplishments was the development of a new variety of camellia, named the Mary Stewart Dennis, which is registered with the American Camellia Society.

Mary is also a member of P.E.O., the National Society of Colonial Dames and Daughters of the American Revolution. Mary is survived by her two sons Howell A. Dennis, Jr. ana Macy Stewart Dennis and his wife Linda Wilhelm Dennis; two grandsons, Howell A. Dennis III of Crowley and David S.L.

Dennis of Lafayette; three granddaughters, Barbara Dennis Outland and her husband Rob of Rich Square, N.C., Anne Dennis Mouton and her husband Stephan of Midland, Texas, and Mary Dennis Miller of Lafayette; and five great grandchildren, Robby Outland, Mary Outland, Claire Miller, Parker Mouton, Andrew Mouton and Emma Mouton. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Howell A. Dennis, her parents, John Calvin Stewart and Rose Amos Stewart; two brothers, John Calvert Stewart and James Amos Stewart; four sisters, Sally Stewart Peyton, Margaret 'Peg' Stewart McClung, Rebecca Stewart Trout and Helen Stewart Murphy; and a daughter-in-law, Kathryn Stokes Dennis. Despite being strongly urged by family to move back to Pennsylvania, Mary decided to stay in the house that she and her husband built on Wilson St. in Lafayette because of its proximity to Southwest Louisiana Institute (now University of Louisiana-Lafayette).

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Percy Faulk; one son, Jimmy Faulk; parents, Amede and Zelmire Babineaux Meaux; and one sister, Mabel Cormier. A native of Kaplan and a resident of Lafayette, Bertha Faulk was a religion teacher in Port Arthur, TX for over twenty years, then retired and moved to Lafayette to be closer to her family. She is a membei of St.

Edmond Catholic Church and was a dedicated member of their choir. Bertha Faulk will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her. It was there that she spent the next 65 years raising her boys, watching them grow into men and enjoying seeing them raise their own families.
