Guthrie Center, Iowa, Guthrian Monday, May 10, 1965, page 1 Marriage Vows Recited by Jean Hoyt and Ray Robison Sunday, May 2, at the First Christian Church, Guthrie Cen- ter. marriage vows were repeated by Miss Jean Hoyt and Perle Ray Robinson. The Rev. Lester Pearson, pastor officiated at the double ring ceremony at 2 p.m before an altar decorated with baskets of blur: and white flow. ens enhanced with greenery.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hoyt of Guthrie Center and the bridegroom 15 the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas Robison of Coon Rapids.

Given in marriage by her' father, the bride chose a floor length gown of white satin styled along princes lines with fitted bodice and long tapered sleeves. The bodice featured a jewelry neckline and the bride wore a spiral rhinestone necklace, a gift of the groom. Her veil was of illusion net and was attached to rhinestone tiara 'and white satin Juliette cap. She carried white roses and carnationa attached white Bible. Serving as matron of honor was Mrs.

Jeanette Juhl of Council Bluffs. sister of the bridegroom. She wore a white lace frock over blue sheath. styli with 2 fitted bodice. Mrs.

Juhl had white accessones and white gloves and wore a pink carnation corsage. Miss Carol Shelley was bridesmaid. and also soloist. She wore 2 white lace street length frock over pink and had white acressories, and a pink carnation cor-1 sage. Miss Shelley sang, "The Wedding Prayer" by organist Mrs.

Dot Ferry, who provided the nuptial music. Laura Hoyt. sister of the bride. was flower girl. She was dressed in a blue frock patterned.

as the matron of honor, and carried a basket of blue flowers. Serving the bridgeroom as best man was his brother, Scott Robison Gouncit Bluffs with Greg Pierce of Moline, the groomsman. He is a cousin of the bridegroom. Ushers were Dennis Hoyt, Racine, Wise, the bride's brother. also Jerry and Roger Pierce.

All men in the wedding party wore dark suits and had white carnation boutonnicre. The bride's mother chose for the wedding, a blue brocade dress with white accessories. The bridegroom's mother wore a pink flowered dress with white accessories and their corsages were of white carnations. Presiding at the guest registry Miss Yolanda Sheeder with the gift table in the charge of Mrs. C.

W. Thomas and Miss Connie Arnold of Bagley At the reception. a blue, pink and white color scheme predom-1 inated, with the serving table featuring the three tiered wedding cake, baked and decorated by Mrs. Nyal Pierce. aunt of the bridegroom.

The rake was decorated with swans, roses, sugar bells. with the top had blue ies and white carnations. White tapers in crystal holders encuined with blue flowers flanked the cake. Mrs. Pierce cut and served the cake.

Mrs. 'Scott Robison of Councl Bluffs served the punch and Mrs. Fay Turgensen of Perry. aunt of the bride, presided at the 'coffec. The bridal table was noted with miniature bridal couple and blue and white flowers.

Serving at the bridal table were Jeanette Cline and Kathy Short af Guthrie Center. The' bridegroom graduated five years, ago from the Coon Rapids! high school and has since thai time served with the navy planning to make it his career. The bride graduates in May, 1965 from the Guthrie Center schools. The couple will make their home in Hawaii where the bridegroom is presently stationed. POST' 'REHEARSAL SUPPER FOR BRIDAL PARTY Mr.

fand Nyal Pierce tertained Saturday evening at a post rehearsal supper -party for the bridal participants of the Jean Hoyt, P. Ray Robison nupDials. Parents of the bridal couple were among the guests, along with other relatives and friends. Rehearsal took place at 7:30 at the church with the entire group then continuing. to the Pierce home.

Mary Logsdon served. The' program was presented by Mrs. Jolene Coffman, and devotionals were given by Mrs. Marjorie, Taylor. The Bible study circle will be meeting May 19 with Mrs.

Olhe Ansberry. Plans were also announced 'for the mother-daughter banquet scheduled for June 2 Mrs. Norman Steenser, pECSIdent of the local UPW presided at the meeting. SENIOR GROUP ENJOYS PARTIES Sunday evening. May 2.

Miss Elzabeth Clifford entertained at 3 supper party with serving at 5:30. Appointments were set for twelve guests, all senior girls who completing their final year of study at Guthrie Community School. A social tune followed the supper. so AND SEW CLUB AT REED HOME Mrs. C.

D. Reed entertained the So and Sew Club Tuesday evening at her home with members i enjoying social hours of conversation. Fnitting, cutting. mending, etc. Refreshments were served by the hostess at the close lof the evening.
