Mrs. Soren Sorcnsen and son Melvin drove to Forest City on Thursday to assist the Harry SOT. ensen family with packing and moving to Mason City. They re. turned home Monday.

The weekly young people's choir practice and a meeting of the officers and teachers of the Sun. day school was held at the school house Wednesday night. Miss Evelyn Heim and brother from Audubon spent Thursday and Friday in the home of their aunt Mrs. Lawrence Reike. The members of the Triple club and their husbands enjoyed a party in the Elbert Hayes home in Maple Hill Friday night.

Mrs. Julius Ingebretsen assisted Mrs. Hayes with the entertaining. The young people of the Chris, tian Endeavor Society met at the church parlors Friday night for a social meeting. Mrs.

Frank King took Joe King and son Bobby to their home at Algona Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Jo King, former residents of this vicinity are the parents of a baby girl, born Nov. 27th.

Mr. and Mrs. James Pickell of Superior, who have been visiting in the Jim Merriott home, went to the home of their nephew Roy Merriott Friday for a short visit. They will go from there to Ayrshire before returning home. Mrs.

August Rosenberger and san Paul and Clarke have been at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Olson in Story City for the past two weeks and Clarke has undergone an operation for hernia and is recovering nicely from it. They will stay in the parental home until Christmas when August will drive down af. ter them.

A number of farmers in this vicinity have received stock from he Dakotas to feed through the winter. It wa shipped to Em. metsburg and trucked here. Mrs. Allan Hiles was able to eturn to her home Sunday from the Coleman hospital where she had spent the past week taking treatment.

Other officers elected were Mrs. Mellita Noel, associate matron; Henry Mahlum, associate patron, Miss Elizabeth Colt, secretary, Mrs. Clara Wilson, treasurer, Miss Adelaide Nichols, conductress, Mrs. Eunice Twetten, associate conductress. These officers and those appointed by Mrs.

Mike Korts, Mrs. F. L. Gustafson and the host, ess. Plans are being made for a English services next Sunday morning at 11 o'clock.

The Rev. J. O. Reitan of Chicago will be our guest preacher. There will be no evening service on account of the presentation cf the oratorio, "The Messiah" at the Presbyterian church.

Rev. J. O. Reitan will speak at the midweek meeting at the church, Friday evening at 7:30. May many come out and hear Brother Reitan's message.

The Confirmation class meets Saturday at 10 a. m. at the Par. ish House. UNION STATE LINE CHURCH Services next Sunday morning at 10:45 with confirmation of a class of 14 boys and girls.

As usual a confirmation offering will be lifted. Beginning Wednesday evening Rev- J. O. Reitan of Chicago will conduct special meetings at the church. We will begin with a song service at 7:30.
