By Erelyn Cady Mr. and Mrs. George Miller are here from Port Orange for a visit of a few with the former's mother Mrs. Miller end other relatives. Mr.

Miller's sister Mrs. Twyllah Bartholomew had been visiting there and returned home with them. Mr. and Mrs. Miller are going from here to Portland, to visit relatives and will come back this way later for a further visit.

Mr. and Mrs. Lee Worle'y and daughter Donna, and Mrs. Henry Meyer, all Unionville, are visiting here this week with the Bob Bennett family. They are parents, sitter, and grandmother of Mrs.

Bennett. Mr. and Mrs. Lecn Martin and family are going to Goidt'ield on Sunday to spend the day with the former's mother Mrs." Grace Martin. Mr.

and Mrs. Eugene Furst were in Marshalltown last week were Mr. Furst attended the Iowa Society of Independent Accountants. He was elected one of the directors. He is going to Des Moines Saturday to attend a di-' rectors meeting.

Esther Quinby drove to Cedar Fails Sunday to attend a family picnic. Sharon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Gardner, had as weekend guests classmates Maicia Angle and Phyllis Wieganci, of 3urt. Mr.

L. J. Weisbrod and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Meyers.

Grace Anderson, of Livermore, spent Saturday afternoon with Mr. and Hansen. Mr. and Mrs. Chris Wallukait have purchased a lot oh east State street from the' Durants and are having a home built by Ben Wibben 1 It will be completed by Sept.

.1. They sold their house on west College street to Harold Esser and possession will be given June 1. JMr. and Mrs. Harlan Pompe have purchased the house al 1614 east State street now occupied by Mr.

and Mrs. Ernest Godiredson. Mr. Pompe is employed at the 'iool Shop on highway 18 and has been living at the Hillcrest Trailer court. Mr.

and Mrs. Frank Butts have had as guests the former's brother-in-law and sister Mr. and Mrs. George Mack of Waterloo who art moving to Pnoenix, Ariz. Mr.

and Mrs. John Helmers were visited over the weekend by their son and daughter-in-law ivir. and Mrs. Kicharcl Helmers David and Rickey, of Lincoln Neb. Mr.

and Mrs. Roy Hutzell and Dr. and Mrs. L. drove to Cherokee Sunday and iiad a picnic dinner with the Hutzell's son and daughter-in-law Mr.

and Mrs. Floyd Hutzell. The Floyd Siutzells are coming here May 30 for the summer and will occupy the apartment with the parents Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hutzell.

Mrs. William Ringgenberg has returned from Blue Karth, where she spent a week with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Abe Tuule and brothers and sisters-in-law Mr. and Mrs.

Hubert Tuttle and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Tuttle. A family picnic was held Mother's day and was also an observance of the confirmation of Loren, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Floyd Tuttie. Vernon Casler who had an emergency appendectomy last week hospital, Fort Dodge, is recovering from further surgery a few days later. He was vis Sunday by Mr. and Mrs. Byron Behrends and his children Don, Dick and Elaine Casler, ol Thompson.

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Donovan spent a part of Sunday at their cottage at the Okobojis and the remainder at Worthington, Minn. with their son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs.

Jack Wittern and family. Mrs. Donovan returned to Worthington Monday and will spend a week there. Mrs. Henry Douglas and Mrs.

Jake Godden have returned from Chicago, 111., where they visited the respective sons, Larry Douglas and his wife and family and Warren Godden. Larry-is employed with the Continental Can Company in the department. Mrs. Godden attended a pre-nuptial shower for Jean Weisenbach who is to be married June 7 to Warren. Mr.

and Mrs. Godden plan to attend the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. John Dreesman and Robert are leaving Saturday for Sweet Briar, and will bring home the daughter Marilyn who has been attending school there.

After a two weeks vacation she will go to Colorado Springs, and enroll th; college for the summer session. Mr. and Mrs. C. B.

Mutiagh were visited over the weekend by Mr! and Mrs. Michael Clem- eiisen, of Chicago, 111. The men vv'eie fi lends 50 years ago when living at Rmgsted. Mr. Clemensen was in the lumber business at the time.

Mr. Murtagh is not allowed visitors at St. Ann but Mr. Clemensen was niade an ex- for a brief call. Mrs.

Ltonard Mauley is leaving today (Thursday) for Portland, where she will make an extended visit with her son- in-law and daughter the Rev. and Mrs. Olin F. Parrett. Molly Sullivan will be home soon from Loretto College.

Colorado. Her sister Sheila who has been teaching in Minneapolis. will also be home ijoon and will shortly thereafter leave on a trip to Europe. They are daughters of Mr. and Mrs.

Wade Sullivan. Mrs. S. E. McMahon has returned from Marshalltown and a visit of a week with her son- in-law and daughter Dr.

and Mrs. Ralph Carpenter. She was joined there for Mother's day by her son Maurice of Minneapolis. Minn. Mrs.

George Hawcott Mrs. Frank Borntrager, South Bend. came visit Her sister, Mrs. Clyde Bristow. Pamela Andrews and Shirley Schwietert were in a group of 20 junior 4-H leaders ai Veisha at Ames Saturday.

Jean Lynch, daughter of the Dennis Lynch.es, had her first communion last Sunday. Supper at the Lynch home were The Leander Vaskes and Mrs. Johanna Vaske, Bancroft. Mrs. Ray Miller, Darrell and Joyce spent the weekend at Wm.

Miller's in Buffalo Center. Eugene Stewart, freshman at Antes, spent the weekend at parental Walter Steward's. The Walter Stewards received an announcement from their son, Lester, who will graduate May 27 from Arizona state college. M'ne Lester tiewaras and two children, Phoenix, plan to visit here in June. The Sewing circle will meet Friday with Mrs.

Lois Trunkhill. The Harol'd Reimers family visited over the weekend at Bernard Miller's in Sheldon. Mrs. Jessie Rash, the Wm. Ernests, Northbrook, 111., David D.

Millers, Algona, John Rash, elda Meyer, Lotts Creek, and Tommy Reimers were guests Sunday at C. L. Webb's, Algona. Cora Stow accompanied the W. E.

Stows, Kristi and Pamela, Humboldt, to Swea City Sunday were guests at the Cecil Godiredson's. The Mervin Johnsons were also guests. Guests Sunday at J. L. Miller's home wore Mrs.

J. C. Earth, the Carl Barths, Arnold Earths and Duane, llavelock, the D. C. Millers.

Laurens, and the Oscar iviillers, Tiionka. Mrs. Etia Holdren returned Monday alter ten days in southern Iowa with relatives. Mrs. Bertha Mansmith visited relatives in Corwith and Algona last week.

Mrs Bertha Wallace will be hostess June 2 to the Birthday circle. Boys 4-H clubs and the girls 4-H 'clubs, leaders, and farm laiiiilies were special guests at tae morning service Sunday. Dr. John Kilmer, director of Hill- crest Baby Fold, wfll show new films at the Junior Fellowship meeting next Sunday. Starting June 1 the morning service will be held at 8 a.

m. and Sunday school at 9 a. m. at the Methodist church for the summer months. The executive board dessert luncheon will be held at the church Friday.

Helen Schwietert, John Schwietert and Jane Barslou spent Algona (Iowa) Advaitce--5 Thursday, May 22, 1958 Sunday in Clear Lake at Mrs. Harold Roark's. Myrtle Schwietert, Des Moines, was also a guest. Tueday Jane, Helen and John attended commencement at Dolliver. A niece, Helen Hunt, is a graduate.
