25 with a special gala featuring author Margaret Truman Daniel, daughter of former President Harry S. Truman. Sally Morrison and Kate Barnes, authors of a cookbook entitled Cross Creek Kitchen, will appear at 10 a.m. Thursday at 100 Osceola Ave. The book is a collection of authentic recipes made famous by the writings of Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, who is best known for The Yearling.

Irene Hunt, a young people's author and winner of the 1964 Newbery Award, will be the guest lecturer on Feb. 9. Her works include Across Five Aprils and Up a Road Slou ly. She lives in the Clearwater area. Robert Haas, nutritionist and author of the health guide Eat to Win, will appear on Feb.
