"That was on 'Juke Box i said Chad Stuart of his experience on the BBC show. "I must have drawn a short straw be-; cause I was the poor, wretched unfortunate who had to sit behind a i screen and listen to the verdict. Jeremy escaped I somehow. He always does that." Stuart, who co-wrote "A Summer Song," initia-I lly agreed with the verdict.

"We never thought that I song would fly any-J where," said Stuart, a I British native who lives in i Idaho these days. "We just thought it was a sweet, little song tucked away on an album, and that nice -it's pretty and nice. But what it blundered into is being one of those archetypal summer songs where you don't have the girl, and no, no, no, and then you have the rain. It had a lesson of angst in the final analysis. It's a perfect summer romance song where you have to go home for the summer, and the girl with whom you've had a steamy romance has to go back to Pittsburgh, or wherever." The witty Stuart is being a little self-deprecating.

"A Summer Song" was a Top 10 hit in 1964 and has gone on become a beloved signature song of the British Invasion. Chris Jordan: njpressmedia.com By Chris Jordan Staff Writer Jazz vocalist Lou Watson of Mountain Lakes is big in Bangkok.

"A record label out there found one of my projects online and they emailed me saying they wanted to release it," said Watson, a native of Pisca-taway. "They brought me over there to promote it." Hey, it happens to everyone. Actually, Watson is gaining a name in music circles for his soul-stirring baritone voice and his creative interpretations of pop and jazz classics. "One of the challenges I had originally was that none of the stuff was in my key, so I always had to change the key anyway and I did that trying to find the sweet spot," Watson said. He's found it.

Watson got his start-as a pianist for the Manhat include "Yesterday's Gone," "Willow Weep for Me" and "Before and After." The duo has certainly touched the heart strings. "There's a secretary in the high school here in Sun Valley (Idaho) and she has two sons named Chad and Jeremy," Stuart said. "They're all over the freaking place." Chad and Jeremy come to the area on Wednesday as part of the Woodbridge Music on Main Street series. The show takes place at the United Methodist Church at 69 Main St. Both Chad and Jeremy will be there. "I'd like to retire from traveling," Stuart said.

"Traveling really gets to you, the flying and all of that. Jeremy's in London so he's no use. He shows up and says 'Well, hello, did you miss I wish you'd been here to help because most of the work goes into setting the tour up. He shows up and it doesn't take any effort." Jeremy has an ability to escape the wretchedness. Chris Jordan: 732-565-7275; cjordannjpressmedia.com.
