Born in Canada, he came here in 1980 from Michigan and was retired as specialist 6th class with the Army Department of Military Intelligence. He served during World War II, Korea and Vietnam.

Survivors include a brother Albert New Port Richey, and a sister. E. James Reese Funeral Home, Seminole. BAIRD, ROBERT EDWARD, 59, of 1035 Arlington Ave. died Sunday (Dec.

4, 1983). Born in Rochester, N.Y., he was a former maintenance man and a Catholic. An Army veteran of World War I1, he was a member of the DAV. Survivors include a son Mark St. Petersburg; four daughters, Bonnie Ebner, New York, Linda Pettit, Texas, Madeline Wallace and Melinda Baird of Bradenton; three brothers, Andrew, Walter and Richard, all of Rochester, and five grandchildren.

John S. Rhodes, East Chapel. BOND, VERNON, 81, formerly of St. Petersburg, died Monday (Dec. 5, 1983) in Clearwater, where he recently moved.

Born in New York, he came here from Rochester, N.Y., where he WAS an orderly for Monroe Community Hospital. Survivors include two sons, Herbert, Brockport, N.Y., and Lyell, Bellmont, N.Y., and a daughter Ethel Mae. David C. Gross Funeral Home, West Chapel. FRANCIS 78, of 550 First Ave. died Saturday' (Dec. 3, 1983). Born in West Virginia, he came here in 1958 from Cumberland, Md. and was a selfemployed painter.

HOWARD, LEON 77, of 1714 11th Ave. died Saturday (Dec. 3, 1983). Born in Alabama, he came here in 1959 from Gasden, Ala. and was an ordained minister before, and going into Korea the in the service.

Air He Force served and retired during as World staff sergeant in 1952 after 17 years' service. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross. His last position in the service was with the Office of Special Investigation. After his retirement, he continued his ministry and was a member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God, St. Petersburg, and VFW Post 6827.

Survivors include his wife Agnes three sons, Billy Ray, Port St. Lucie, Richard Plant City, and Dewey Maine; a daughter Zoe Ann Howard, Plant City; a sister Mattie Lee Floyd, Dallas; nine grandchildren, and three great- Gee Pitts Funeral Home. JENKINS, KATHERINE KREIS, 78, of 1 Beach Drive SE, died Sunday (Dec. 4, 1983). Gross Funeral Home, West Chapel. O'NEILL, ETHEL 75, formerly of Gulfport, died Friday (Nov. 25, 1983) in Yreka, where she moved in 1978. Born in New York, she came here in 1956 from New York and was a former baker at Gulfport Elementary and former member of the Most Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Gulfport. Survivors include two daughters, Edith Van Aken Macholdt, Kingston, N.Y., and Barbara Munson, Gulfport; nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

He came here in 1981 from his native Erie, where he was a member of Erie Yacht Club, commodore and life member of Presque Isle Yacht Club and volunteer for Westlake Volunteer Fire Department. He was a retired salesman for Wilson Foods Corp. Survivors include his wife Margaret; two sons, Gerald Penna and Michael Piper, both of Pennsylvania; a daughter Barbara M. PLANTE, RAYMOND, 74, a 10-year winter resident from Biddeford, Maine, died Sunday (Dec. 4, 1983). Born in Maine, he was a retired construction contractor and a member of the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle. Born in Lithuania, he came here in 1961 from Worcester, Mass. and was a traffic manager of U.S. Steel. He served during World War II with the 5th U.S. Air Force, where he held the rank of chief warrant officer and was the administrative assistant to Gen.

Ennis C. Whitehead. He served in New Guinea, the Philippines and Bismarck campaigns. He received five bronze service stars, the Asiatic Pacific Medal, Occupation Medal (Japan), Bronze Star, unit badge and Philippine Liberation Ribbon. He was a member of St.

Raphael's Catholic Church, Sunset Golf and Country Club and St. Petersburg Yacht Club. Survivors include his wife Geraldine a brother Benjamin, Auburn, and a sister Mary C. Campbell, Shrewsbury, Mass. Thomas J.

James Mathews Funeral Home. WILLIAMS, DWIGHT, 81, a 12-year winter resident of Seminole, died Saturday (Nov. 26, 1983) in Saginaw, Mich. Born in Udell, Iowa, he was a retired director of research at Michigan Chemical Corp. He was a graduate of Ashland (Ohio) College and received his Ph.D.

from the University of Michigan. He was past president of St. Louis Lions Club, a 50-year Mason and a member of St. Louis United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife Marjorie; two sons, Dwight and Joseph B.

The park was sold in 1962. In 1952, along with his brother Martin, he developed Conner's Mobile Home Park at 2701 34th St. and in 1970, Robert's Mobile Home Park was built.

At the time of his death they were planning an addition to border Gandy Boulevard that was to include a complex of mobile home park and sales and a recreation vehicle park. Mr. Conner was a member of Florida Manufactured Housing Association, the Nitram Lodge 188 and the First Baptist Church of Pinellas Park. HERBERT CONNER SR. He was graduated from Jefferson High School, and moved to St. Petersburg in 1950, where he managed the Orange Blossom Trailer Park, 5th Ave until its sale in 1962.

In 1952, he and his brothers developed and then managed the Conner's Mobile Home Park on 34th St. In 1970, he and his brothers developed Robert's Mobile Home Park on Gandy Blvd, which he later expanded in 1979 to include Robert's RV Park, and in 1982 to include Audrey Lilian Enterprises- all comprising a complex of mobile home park and sales, and a recreational vehicle park. He is survived by his wife, Lilian three brothers: Louie Roy and Martin C. Sr. of this area.

Two sisters, Aline C. Thompson, and Robbie Lee Conner of Biloxi, MS. Five children, Connie G. Conner, Nancy L. Bowen, Robert C.

Mr. Raymond has a very respected military record. He was with the 5th US Air Force: He held the rank of Chief Warrant Officer, and was the Administrative Assistant to General Ennis C. Whitehead. Mr.

Raymond was in battles and campaigns, both Asiatic and Pacific. He served in New Guinea, the Papuan Campaign, the Phillipines, and Bismark. His decorations and citations include five bronze service stars, the Asiatic Pacific Medal, the Occupation Medal with Clasp (Japan), the Bronze Star Medal, the Unit Badge, and the Phillipine Liberation Ribbon. Mr. Raymond attended La Salle University in Chicago, and was a graduate from Boston University School of Business.

He was a retiree of U.S. Steel, where he was a traffic manager. He holds active membership at St. Rafael's Catholic Church, Sunset Golf and Country Club, and the St. Petersburg Yacht Club.

Mr. Raymond is survived by his wife, Geraldine C. of St. Petersburg, a brother, Benjamin, of Auburn, MA. a sister, Mary C.

Campbell of Schrewsbury, MA. and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday, December 9, at 9:30 AM at St. Rafael's Catholic Church. Entombent will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery RIVERS James.

Rivers resided at 795 20th Ave. S. A native of Georgia, he was resident of the city for over 31 years. He died December 3, 1983. He was a member of the Traveler's Rest Baptist Church.
