The active pallbearers were O. J. Thorsen, H. G. Essington, George W.

Brown, Charles Bisdee, Andrew Bredahl and J. A. Lambert, all close friends of the deceased for many years. The list of honorary pallbearers was composed of memhers of the Knights of Pythias lodge, in whose activities Mr. Bloomstrom had always taken a prominent part.

H. Cobb, C. E. Snyder, A. E.

Nelson and C. O. Follo. honorary escort was formed members of the following fraterna! societies: Escanaba Commandory, Delta chapter and lodge, B. P.

Basinet and Verlie Trombley, both of Rock: Ewald Nelson and Catherine Gafner, both of Escanaba. Te Judge Exhibits--Miss Ruth Featherly of the State College extension department and Joseph E. Turner, county agricultural agent, went to Ford River yesterday to judge the local exhibits of the boys' and girls', clubs.

Local exhibits are being held by sewing and handicraft clubs. which number seventeen, about the county this week. Car Stolen--Frank Roberts. an employe of the Ford Wood Yard, reported to police that his Oldsmobile coupe had been stolen from in front of the office sometime Sunday night. The car carries license plate number 1,024,115.

On Radio Program- Victor Moson of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Moreau. South Ninth street. will be heard over the radio from Station WHAD.

Milwaukee, on Wednesday evening between 7:30 and o'clock. The local young man, who is a student at Marquette university, will sing several solo bers. Presbyterian Ladies Ald The Ladies' Aid society of the First Presbyterian church will meet 2:30 o'clock this afternoon in the church parlors. Dance at Unity Hall--The Wolverines will furnish the music for a dance at Unity hall this evening. Flot Rock Entertainment--The members of the choir of Family church at Flat Rock will give an entertainment at the township hall, one-quarter mile west of Duranceau's corner, near the red school on the road to Holy Family church, next Thursday evening.

The steamer Griffin, owned by the Wolverine Steamship company, embarked 2:45 p. m. yesterday with a full load of about 1900 tons of iron ore, bound for East Jordan.

Mich. This voyage marks the ing of the ore season at Chicago railway docks. The Griffin is scheduled to make about a half dozen consecutive trips to supply the furnace at East Jordan, Fifty Cars A train of 50 carloads' of iron ore was Saturday at the St. Paul docks, the shipment coming from the Crystal Falls mining district. St.

Paul dock officials have received no word as yet of ore boats bound for this port, and dock officials also report they do not know just when the ore business will get under way. Quite a number of mines have started loading cars for ship: ment here, however, it was learned. Arthur Sundstrum, mail carrier of Stonington, made his first trip of the season with the Belle yesterday morning. On the return trip, he carried a large quantity of foodstuffs, lumber and other provisions in addition to a passenger list of about fifteen Stonington residents. Boat transportation of automobiles has started on the lakes.

In the guessing contest, the following were winners: Mrs. Gordon Lindsley, Joseph Semper, Ed Wonders. Mrs. Anton Seidl won first prize in bunco, and Mrs. Peter Wenski won consolation.
