MBS. ERICK OBEBG. Mrs. Erick Oberg of Iron River, a former resident of this city, passed away at her home Saturday morning at 12:45 o'clock, after a few Illness.

Mrs. Oberg suffered a paralytic stroke at her home Tuesday and her condition had been serious since that time. Relatives from this city left for Iron River Wednesday and were at the bedside when the end came. Mrs. Oberg, who was 76 years of age, Is survived by her husband, one daughter and four sons.

Mr. HofTman was born In bourg. Europe, and came to America in 1872. He remained In Chicago for a short time and came to this city about fifty years ago. For many years he was employed by the Chicago and North-Western Railway company In the machine shop and was known to be one of the most competent men in the employ of the Peninsula division.

He was to have been pensioned during the World war, but owing to the shortage of skilled workmen he was requested to remain in shops here. Shortly after the signing of the armistice he was pensioned and the family moved to the outskirts of the city to make their home on a farm. Resides his wife and daughter. Mrs. E.
