Antloch Church. The noted singing society, led by Messrs. Andrew Thornly and Robert T. Bolton, met Sabbath, the 12th and regaled the large gathering by rapturous usic from the books, the Sacred Harp and Class Choir in the forenoon and afternoon. During recess at noon everybody was feasted with abundance of delicious vegetables, consisting of choice mutton, chicken and ap ple pies, cakes, and all varieties accompanying an elegant dinner.

On the Sabbath previous Rev. Thomas Bolton discoursed fervently to a large congregation. There was a baptism of an old lady, 77 years, Mrs. Nancy Amerson, in tho current of water just below the Tomlinson milL It was a spectaculum to behold the old lady stepping up to the creek alongside and supported by the aged pastor to be submerged. Afterward there was sacrament and footwashing.
