Dottye Slider Sets Recital For Monday Miss Dottye Slider will be presented at a senior voice recital at 08. p. m. Monday at the Women's Building by Mrs. Anna Craig Bates, her instructor.

Miss Slider, a mezzo suprano, was a member of the 1956 graduating class at Marshall High School. The recital will feature American and continental selections. The program will include the following selections; American "I Love Life" by Mana-Zucca, by Rasbach Star" by Rogers, to My Valentine" by Anna Craig Bates and Birthday" by Woodman. Sacred "Mary, Alone, by Guion. French Aria Habanera" by Bizet and Aria Coeur S'ouvre a ta voix" by Saint Saens.

Italian, Aria "Quando M'en Vo by Tosti and "Il Bacio" by Arditi, Assisting in the recital will be Carol McClurg and Laura Womack, who will distribute programs, D. L. Fugler Jr. and John Sanders, who will serve as ushers and Bety Byrne, who will preside at the guest register. A reception for the family and friends will be held following the recital with Mrs.

Ethyleen Morrison, Mrs. Ester Broome of Beckville and Mrs. H. E. Womack assisting.

Mrs. Lillie Lowry and Mrs. Tinie Bunker will be in charge of decorations. Miss Clark Feted af Tea DAINGERFIELD Miss Melba Jean Clark, bride-elect of James Anthony Orga, was complimented with a tea and miscellaneous shower Wednesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs.

Archie Fomby. W. J. Falls and Harry Williams were co-hostesses. The large array of gifts was shown in the bedroom.

Arrangements of pastel spring flowers and pink tapers were placed at vantage points throughout the reception rooms. The refreshment table was laid with white net over white taffeta, caught at each corner with a single pink carnation. The table was centered with an arrangement of pink carnations and roses, flanked with pink tapers in silver candelabra. Silver trays held assorted mints and toasted nuts. The punch service was of crystal.

The hostesses received the guests and made up the house party. Miss Shirley Walters registered the guests. The bride-elect was in dress of pink precision fashioned with a rounded neckline long torso. Her accessories were white and she wore a corsage of pink and white carnations, gift of the hostesses. Miss Clark and Mr.

Mr. Jolly is a graduate of Kilgore High School, Kilgore Junior College and attended St. Mary's University and Texas College. He is an employee of Thiokol Chemical Corp. EVENTS OF WEEK MONDAY The Camp Fire Board will hold its annual picnic for husbands and wives of board members at 7:30 p.

at the Camp Fire Camp. Members and guests are invited to come early and inspect new buildings and take canoe rides. The tenth annual recital of the Haden School of Dance Arts, sponsored-by the Temple Sisterhood will be held at the City Hall Auditorium at 8:15 p. m. The public is invited to attend and there will be no admission charge.

Flag Gift Made To Grange Hall Sixty U. S. flags were presented to the Grange Hall School Wednesday by Mrs. Bonnie D. Elkin, reagent of the Thomas Holden Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

1495 New Blue Bird Group Organized Blue Birds was held Wednesda; afternoon at the Van Zandi School. The first meeting of the Merr, Mrs. Charles Allen is the leader of the group and Mrs. Roy Hazelip is the assistant leader. Mrs.

Allen presented each member with a membership card. The following officers were elected: president, Carla Hazelip: vice president, Joyce Allen and secretary and treasurer, BrendaChristian.
