Gleaned From the Columns of Varions Idaho Exchanges. Twelve bars of bullion, valued at $48,000, were received yesterday by the Boise City National Bank from the DeLamur The ore shipments from the Kttchum depot since the first of this mouth aggregate 257,708 lbs or 17,173 lbs a Keystone. Gentlemen now here from Owyhee county say that DeLamar has sold a five-sixth Interest in his mines for five million dollars. There is no reason to doubt it, as his mining property is more valuable than that of any other in the Democrat. The Union Pacific'announces that for the first meeting of the Idaho Commercial Convention to be held at Boise City, December 9th and 10th, 1890, a rate of one and one-fifth fare, on the certificate plan, is authorized from all stations In Idaho.

Tickets to be sold going December 8th to 10th, and certificates to be honored for return tickets until December 12th, 1890. Certificates to be signed by Chas. A. Clark, It Is reported on good authority that Butte City and Anaconda smelter men are looking up the question of coal in this valley. At present moat of their coal Is brought from Wyoming over the U.

P. and U. N. railroads at a great expense. They are determined to cut this heavy outlay if it can he found nearer, and nothing will be left undone towards finding and developing the coal deposits which are known to exist in the hills bordering on this Eagle Hock Register.

A few days since, N. L. Turner, Tom Benton and Wm. Potter located a 60acre placer claim at the extreme head of Freeman canyon Just under the rich free gold mines patented by Governor Shoup. The looation covers a heavily timbered flat or swamp, and mentally viewed from any point Is expected to produce richly.

It will be thoroughly opened early In the spring. Without reaching bed-rock prospects have been found to Justify the Idaho Recorder. Major George A. Manning, of Post Falls, World's Fair commissioner for Idaho, was In Boise City yesterday for a few hours en route to Chicago to attend the meeting of the National Board of Commissioners. The Is vice-chairman of the live stock committee (and a member of the committee on horticulture.

He has prepared a plan which he will make public on his return, by which he expects that an exhibition of Idaho's products, worthy of the greatness of the state, can be made. The commissioners from Wyoming have proposed that their state and Idaho join forces In their stock exhibit which will probably be done, but the agricultural and mineral products of this stale will stand by themselves. Hon. John E. Stearns, of Nampa, Idaho's other commissioner, is already in Chicago.

He has been placed on the committees on printing and mines and Statesman. There has probably 100 cars of coal passed town this week, but not a pennyweight for Caldwell. If the railroad company expect to ship coal through this town while people are suffering, they are fooled. If we cannot get fuel by purchase, force will certainly be used when the weather turns colder. The railroad company should stop all other traffic for two or three weeks and give all their cars to the coal trade, The people are receiving treatment from the railroad company they will never forget or forgive.

Tribune. C. E. Jones, editor of the World, and Sam'l McGregor are doing the assessment work of the Silver King mine, 600 feet north of the Washington. They have started a tunnel, which, when completed, will develop it to the depth of over 100 feet.

Last year a shaft was sunk forty feet, in the bottom which the vein is sixteen inches wide of ore worth over $200 per ton in silver. The ore is sulphurets and chlorides, and it is expected that the tunnel will develop an immense silver mine. The property Is owned by W. W. Hooton, W.
