He was employed as a crane operator for U.S. Metals in Carteret for almost 29 years before retiring in 1973. He was a member of the John Calvin Magyar Reformed Church, Perth Amboy. He coached for Perth Amboy Baseball Little League for many years.

His wife, the former Elizabeth Kantor, died in 1993. He was also predeceased by four brothers, William, Alfred, Benjamin and Paul. He is survived by his daughter, Carol Kaye of Piscataway; three sons, Michael J. of Stanton, Julius M. of Levinworth, and Paul S.

of Perth Amboy; his sister, Vilma Nagy of Perth Amboy; his brother, Steve Matto of Edison, eight grandchildren, and 10 greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Mitruska Funeral Home, 531 New Brunswick Fords. Burial will follow at Clover Leaf Memorial Park Cemetery in Woodbridge. Visitation hours are 2-4 p.m.

EDWARD ABELL AGE: 79 DAYTON Edward J. Abell, 79, died Sunday at The Medical Center at Princeton. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he had lived in Edison for eight years before moving to Dayton seven years ago. He retired in 1983 as a printer. He was the owner of Mercury Reproductions of New York City, where he had been in business for 20 years.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Brooklyn. He was also a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9111 in Kendall Park. He is survived by his wife, Esther; four sons, Edward J. Jr. of New York City, Robert Charles W.

and Raymond all of Brooklyn; four daughters, Ceil Harvey of Kendall Park, Nancy Weir, Sharon Tiernan, both of Staten Island, N.Y., and Cheryl Latoni of Charlotte, N.C.; a brother, John B. of Pittsburgh; four sisters, Virginia Rush of Brooklyn, Joan Cropley, Gloria Rossi, Barbara McGaha, all of Staten Island, 21 grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren. The funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 25 at M.J.

Born in the Oak Tree section of Edison, he had resided in the Metuchen-Edison area before moving to North Brunswick in 1961. Before retiring in 1975, he had worked as a truck mechanic for 50 years, and a member of Teamsters Local 701 of North Brunswick. He was a member of the Six Mile Run Reformed Church, Franklin Park.

He was predeceased by two sons, David Edgar Baylis (1996) and Mervin "Buster" Jr. (1994). Surviving are two sons, Richard of Fords and William of Jackson; a daughter, June Schimanski of Lebanon, 20 grandchildren, and 17 greatgrandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at yon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Ave.

He retired from the Okonite Company of North Brunswick, where he had worked as a forklift operator. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was predeceased by his wife, Adelaide. He is survived by two daughters, Dolores Wardrop of South River and Roberta Brown of New Brunswick; five sons, Raymond of Modesto, Allen of Bethlehem, John of Browns Mills, William of Horseheads, N.Y., and Robert of East Brunswick; a brother, John Gray of North Brunswick, seven grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren, and two greatgranddaughters, Jennifer and Sabrina Wardrop.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Bronson Guthlein Funeral Home, 152 North Main Milltown. Burial will follow at Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

He was born in Iselin and lived there his entire life. He was a 1977 graduate of John F. Kennedy Memorial High School, Iselin. He served on the Iselin First Aid Squad for 25 years and was a life member of the squad. He was also an active member of his bowling league at the Woodbridge Bowling Center.

He was predeceased by his parents, Howard D. Graser Sr. and Anna May Anthony Graser. He is survived by his wife 18 years, Barbara L. Graser of Iselin, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and loving friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at CostelloGreiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Woodbridge. Burial will be at Franklin Memorial Park, North Visiting hours are 6 p.m.-9 p.m. only tomorrow at the funeral home. She was born in Hoboken and lived there and also resided in Highlands before 1 moving to Perth Amboy three years ago. She was a seamstress, for 30 years with International Ladies Garment Workers Union Local 148 in Union City. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Hungary R.C. Church, Perth Amboy. She was predeceased1 by her grandson, Gary Gatyas, and was the sister of the late George, Joseph, Michael, Louis and Anthony Grato.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Dominick; a daughter, Ann Gatyas of Perth Amboy; three sons, Michael of Carteret, Anthony of Fort Myers, and Joseph of Lyndhurst; three sisters, Anna Canavari of Hoboken, Jean Piccariello of Arlington, and Julia DeFazio of Secaucus, 15 grandchildren, and 24 greatgrandchildren. We will begin to leave at 10:30 a.m. Friday from Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Perth Amboy, for an 11 a.m. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Hungary R.C.

Church (temporarily located at Holy Trinity Church) in Perth Amboy. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Visiting hours are 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to the Our Lady of Hungary Church Building Fund. JOSEPH CURATILO AGE: 76 WOODBRIDGE Samuel Curatilo, 76, of Durham, died Nov. 19, 2000 at his home. Raised in Pittston, he was born there April 27, 1923, and later resided in Woodbridge for 10 years. He moved to Durham, Calif.

40 years ago. He was formerly employed as the Dixie District Public Schools music coordinator in San Rafael, Calif. He was the author of "The Sight and Sound of Music," a book on music-reading methods used in the third grade. He later wrote a book for the fifth-grade on bandplaying methods entitled "Prelude to Bands," which is now used by several school districts throughout the country. He lives on through the lives of those he touched.

He made a difference. He was a teacher. He did the most important work in the world. He was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Gwen Curatilo; his daughter, Jan Curatilo Brockway; his son, Christopher Curatilo and his wife, Kiki, and their daughters, Gabrielle, Elise and Sophie Curatilo; and his sister, Jean Palumbo of Woodbridge.

A Mass will be celebrated at noon Sunday, Jan. 28 at St. James R.C. Church in Woodbridge. JOHN DeLASSO AGE: 41 MONMOUTH JUNCTION John H.

DeLasso, 41, of Monmouth Junction died Sunday at his home. Born in New Brunswick, he resided in Monmouth Junction all his life. A South Brunswick High School graduate, he had worked for the past 12 years in the maintenance department of McMaster Carr Inc. in Dayton. He was the son of the late Henry and Julia DeLasso.

He is survived by a brother, Peter J. DeLasso of Monmouth Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Cecilia's R.C.

Church in Monmouth Junction. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick. Friends and relatives may call from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

tomorrow at M.J. Murphy Funeral Home, 616 Ridge Road at New Road, Monmouth Junction. CONSTANCE PAPEZ AGE: 93 EDISON Constance Papez, 93, of Tacoma, formerly of Edison, died Jan. 13 in Tacoma. She was a founder of the Women's Army Corps Veterans Association Chapter 52 in Edison.

She served in the Women's Army Corps during World War II. She was an animal lover, who had taken in many homeless cats. She had as many as 100 cats at one time. She is survived by a grandnephew, Robert Viguers and his family of Steilacoom, Wash. The funeral was held in Washington state.

BELARMINIO DIAZ AGE: 71 PERTH AMBOY Belarminio Diaz, 71, of Perth Amboy died Sunday at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy Division. He was born Feb. 1, 1929, in the Dominican Republic and formerly resided in Santiago, Dominican Republic. He was a resident of Perth Amboy for the past 36 years. He was employed as a maintenance worker for White Rose, a subsidiary of Di Gorgi Inc.

in Carteret. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, Perth Amboy. He is survived by his wife, Precede (Diaz) Diaz; two brothers, Silbio Diaz of Perth Amboy and Victor Diaz of South Plainfield; four sisters, Theresa Diaz of Bricktown, Maria Diaz, Carmen Diaz, both of Florida, and Espiranza Percharo of the Dominican Republic. Also surviving are one niece and one nephew.

Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. today at Flynn Son Funeral Home, 424 East Perth Amboy. Burial will take place at "30 de Marza Cemeterio" in Santiago, Dominican Republic. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

MARY DOLA AGE: 90 SOMERSET Mary Dola, 90, died yesterday at her residence in Arlington, Va. She was born Ukraine, and had lived in Newark, Somerset and Millstone before moving to Arlington, Va. several years ago.

She was a former member of St. Andrew's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, South Bound Brook, and a former member of the Sisterhood and the choir at the church. Her husband, Stefan, died in 1967. Surviving are her son, Steven of Arlington, two grandsons, Mark S. Dola of Arlington, and Kenneth Dola of Murphy, N.C., and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Thursday at Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton Somerset, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral service at St. Andrew's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, South Bound Brook. Burial will follow at St.

Andrew's Cemetery, South Bound Brook. Relatives and friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. MOLLIE EPSTEIN AGE: 80 AVENEL Mollie Nesenman Epstein, 80, of Avenel died yesterday at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge Division. She was born June 2, 1920 in Kansas City, Mo. and had lived in Avenel the past 48 years. She worked at Alexander Library on Rutgers University's College Avenue campus in New Brunswick for 15 years, retiring in 1985. She also formerly worked at Camp Kilmer Job Corp.

for five years. She was a member of Temple Beth Mordecai, Perth Amboy, and a member of the YMHA Senior Citizens. Her first husband, Irving Miskoff, died in 1982. Her second husband, Nathan J. Epstein, died in 1991.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Richard Miskoff and Barbara Miskoff of Middletown, and Ronald and Lori Miskoff of Edison; six grandchildren, Barbara Farragher and her husband Michael, Cary Miskoff, Dr. Jeffrey Miskoff and his wife Bernadette, Kristy Miskoff, Adam Miskoff and Sarah Miskoff, and two great-grandchildren, Anne and Maura Farragher. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow at Temple Beth Mordecai, 224 High Perth Amboy.

Burial will be at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin. Arrangements are by Flynn Son Funeral Home, 424 East Perth Amboy. MARIE GUZZO ISELIN Marie Ellen Deen Guzzo died Sunday i at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she moved to Iselin in 1951 at the age of 9. She graduated from St. Cecelia's School, Iselin, and later completed the patient care technician program at JFK Medical Center, Edison. She was employed by JFK Medical Center as a patient -care technician in the intensive-care unit She was a devoted communicant of St.

Cecelia's R. C. Church, Iselin. She was totally devoted to her family a an appreciation for Atlantic City. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph F.

Guzzo, who died in 1999. She is survived by a son, Joseph J. Guzzo of Iselin; four daughters, Lorraine Fresta, Dawn Guzzo, Dina Guzzo, all Iselin, and Jacqueline Kile of Colonia; her mother, Marie Deen of Iselin; a sister and brother-in-law, JoAnn and George Haffler of Iselin; her nieces, Marie, Jenny and Daniele, all of Iselin, and many other nieces, as well as many nephews; and eight loving grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. tomorrow at Thomas J.

Costello Funeral Home, Green St. and Cooper Iselin, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Cecelia's R.C. Church, also in Iselin.

JOSEPH NISKY AGE: 61 METUCHEN Joseph W. Nisky, 61, of Metuchen died yesterday at Beth Israel Medical Center, Newark. He was born in Elizabeth, and lived in Linden before moving to Metuchen 35 years ago. He was employed by Merck Rahway, as a mechanical supervisor for 25 years before recently retiring. He was a member of the Master Plumbers Association, Newark.

He served in the Marine Corps from 1956 to 1960. His mother, Mary "Betty" Martis, died in January 2000. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Risko Nisky; two sons, Joseph M. Nisky of Colonia and David Nisky of Metuchen; a daughter, Kimberly Tillotson of Yarmouth, Maine; his father, Edward Martis of Linden; a brother, also named Edward Martis like his father, also of Linden; five sisters, Patricia Powell, Mitzie Tamayo, both of Linden, Debra Babeu and Janie Martis, both of Edison, and Catherine Martis of Colonia, and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m.

Thursday at Leonard-Lee Funeral Home, 301 E. Blancke Linden, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Elizabeth Church, also in Linden. Entombment will take place at St.

Elizabeth R.C. Church of Linden. ANNA KOVACS AGE: 72 SOMERSET Anna Toth Kovacs, 72, died Sunday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born and raised in Hungary, she came to the United States in 1965. She was a longtime resident of Somerset.

She had worked as a registered nurse in Hungary. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Matild Toth. She is survived by her husband, Karoly "Charles" Kovacs; a son, Charles and his wife, Orsolya, of Mercerville; and a sister, Terez Czuppon of Hungary. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Boylan New Brunswick, followed by a Funeral Home, 188 Easton A 10 a.m.

Mass at St. Ladislaus R.C. Church, also in New Brunswick. Cremation will follow at Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick. Family and friends may call from 2-4 p.m.

A native and former resident of Fords, she moved to the Shore area 42 years ago, and for the past 10 years she lived with her daughter and son-in-law in Wall Township and more recently in Bayville. After working at various factory jobs in the early 1950s, she became the owner of a neighborhood store in Neptune in 1962 and operated it until 1969. She was a communicant of St. Catherine's R.C. Church in Spring Lake, and a former member of the Wall Township Senior Citizens.

She was an avid bingo player, card player, and enjoyed her monthly trips to Atlantic City. She was an enthusiastic crafter and enjoyed displaying her talents at local senior meetings, beauty parlors, and arts and crafts shows in Monmouth County. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert, who died in 1992. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Marie and Nicholas Donofrio of Oakhurst, and Christine and Bill Corliss of Bayville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Carole Holzheimer of South Plainfield, and Richard and Amy Holzheimer of Middletown; two sisters, Arlene Schicker of Fords and Elizabeth Balint of Woodbridge; her eight beloved grandchildren, four precious greatgrandchildren, and two loving nieces and a nephew. Services will be held at 10:45 a.m.

Thursday at Flynn Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Fords, followed by an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, also in Fords. Cremation will be private. Relatives and friends may call from 2-4 p.m.

Born in Dudley, she lived in Bayonne before moving to North Brunswick over four years ago. Before retiring in 1973, she was employed for over 34 years as a "piece worker" on the assembly line of Western Electric in Kearny and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She was also a former member of St.

Henry's Senior Citizens in Bayonne. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Barbara Watkoskey of North Brunswick, Arlene Veal and Ann Crawford, both of Oceanport, Robert Misinkiewicz of Neptune, and Avery Frost of Paterson, and several greatnieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

ANNA RUYAK AGE: 90 OLD BRIDGE Anna Fenyo Ruyak, 90, died yesterday at St. Joseph's Nursing Home in Woodbridge.

She was born in Yonkers, N.Y., and had lived in Woodbridge for 32 years before moving to Old Bridge 26 years ago. She was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church in Woodbridge. Her husband, Anthony F.

Ruyak, died in 1997. She was also predeceased by her son-inlaw, Robert Ur. She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Dorothy and Frank Pelzman of Avenel, Fritzi Ur of East Brunswick, and Terry and George Sawicki of Edison, five grandsons, two granddaughters, and six great- grandchildren. funeral will be held at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow at Leon J.
