BENNETT AGE: 88 SAYREVILLE ALBERT GORDZICA AGE: 74 OLD BRIDGE HELEN SUTOR KAGER AGE: 81 WOODBRIDGE RUTH LOUISE CORTELYOU AGE: 92 PRINCETON Ruth Louise Moment Cortelyou died Sunday at Princeton Nursing Home, Princeton. She was 92. She was born in Montclair and had resided on "The Farm" at Old Georgetown Road off Route 518. She was most recently resided in Princeton Nursing Home.

She was a graduate of Beaver College. She directed the Farm School and Camp Rogapeki-J, the nursery schoolkindergarten summer camp, for 50 years. She established the school in 1938 after initially teaching first grade at Princeton's Nassau Street School for eight years. She was a member of the N.J. Nursery School Association.

She was very generous in her scholarships to children in need of financial aid and those who needed "special education." She was an active member of the Somerset County 4-H Association. She was a Sunday school teacher for decades and an elder of the Six-Mile Run Reformed Church, Franklin Park. A brother, Dr. Gairdner B. Moment, is deceased.

Surviving are four sons, Bob of Hopewell, Garrie of Princeton, Peter of Herndon, and Kip of McLean, a daughter, Jane of Princeton; 14 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Mather Funeral Home, Princeton. Burial will be at Ten-Mile Run Cemetery, Franklin Park. TESSIE BABICH JOHN KEREKES AGE: 60 EAST BRUNSWICK John Kerekes died Monday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick.

He was 60. He was born in New Brunswick and had lived in Franklin Township before moving to East Brunswick 31 years ago. He was a clerkdriver for the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Brunswick. Prior to that, he as a machinist for Johns-Manville, North Brunswick, for 25 years. He served in the Navy from 1959 to 1963 during peacetime.

He was a member of the American Legion, East Brunswick. He was a council member of the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 223, East Brunswick. He also was a member of the Mack Rod and Gun Club, New Brunswick, and was a Friend of Bill W. He had been a member of the Franklin Township Special Police and the Community Volunteer Fire Department, Somerset section of Franklin. He also had been former captain of the Community First Aid Squad and a member of the Old Bridge Volunteer Fire Department and the East Brunswick Special Po-lice.

Surviving are his wife, the for; mer Eileen Meszaros; three sonsi'; John of Hamilton, Thomas of Brick; and Daniel of East Brunswick; his mother, the former Schroth of Somerset; a Robert of Wall, and a granddaughter. Services will be 8:15 a.m. Thursday from Selover Funeral North Brunswick, followed by a 9 a.m. Mass at St. Peter's R.C.

Church, New Brunswick. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. SHIRLEY ATLAS STELLA GORECHLAD AGE: 81 WOODBRIDGE Stella Huzar Gorechlad died Monday at St Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was 81. She was born in Perth Amboy and had lived in Woodbridge for the past 54 years.

She retired in 1990 after 20 years as a sewing-machine operator at MONOGRAM Center, Perth Amboy. She was a communicant of St. Demetrius Ukranian Orthodox Church, Carteret, and was a member of the church's St. Ann's Auxiliary. Her husband, Andrew, died in 1974.

A brother, James Huzar of Colonia, also is deceased. Surviving are two sons, Andrew J. of LaPlata, and John of Colonia; a daughter, Jean Delardo of the Long Valley section of Washington; a brother, John Huzar of Chambersburg, a sister, Ann Hirchak of Perth Amboy, and five grandchildren. The funeral will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Leon J.

Gerity Funeral Home, Woodbridge, followed by 10 a.m. liturgy at St. Demetrius Ukranian Orthodox Church. Burial will follow at Cloverleaf Cemetery, Woodbridge. Parastas will be 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday. BARBARA L. JANACEK AGE: 54 MILLTOWN Barbara L. Janacek died yesterday at home. She was 54.

She was born in Norman, and was a longtime resident of Milltown. She was a mortgage processor in the mortgage department of First Union Bank, Piscataway. Surviving are her husband, Mark; two daughters, Robyn VanCleaf of Spotswood and Shari Varga of Monroe; a son, Steven Varga of Spotswood; her mother, Shirley McLauthlin of Mill-town; a brother, Robert McLauthlin Jr. of East Brunswick, and four grandchildren. Services will be 11:30 a.m.

Thursday at Bronson Guthlein Funeral Home, Milltown. Burial will be at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick. He was 88. He was born in Spotswood and )iad lived in the Morgan section of Sayreville since 1949. He retired in 1972 after 40 years in the Photo Products Division of DuPont Sayreville. He was a member of the DuPont 25 Year Club. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart R.C.

Church, South Amboy, and a member of the Sacred Heart Senior Citizens. He was a member of the Sayreville Senior Citizens and the Wednesday Club, Sayreville. His wife, the former Cecelia Jas-kowiak, died in 1997. Surviving are a son, Thomas, at home; a daughter, Barbara Trawin-ski of Lakehurst; three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Services will be 9 a.m.

Friday at Kurzawa Funeral Home, South Amboy, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass at Sacred Heart R.C. Church. Entombment will be at Sacred Heart Mausoleum, Sayreville. EDWARD BENNETT AGE: 78 METUCHEN Edward Bennett died Monday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick.

He was 78. He was born in Atlantic City and had lived in Perth Amboy for 25 years before moving to Metuchen in 1971. He was a 1943 cum laude graduate of the University of Illinois. He retired in 1985 after 35 years as a ceramic engineer with Carbo-randum Corp, Keasbey section of Woodbridge. He was a Navy veteran of World Warn.

He was a member of Beth Morda-cai; Jewish War Veterans; Keranos, a ceramic honors society; American Ceramic Society; Perth Amboy YMHA; Jewish Federation of Greater Middlesex County; the 50-year club at Congregation B'nai Tikvah, North Brunswick; an honorary member of the Miniature Art Society of NJ, and a life member of the University of Illinois Alumni Association. Surviving are his wife, the former Claire Bitterman; two sons, David S. of Metuchen and Bryce M. of the Toms River section of Dover Township; a brother, Marvin of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and two grandchildren. -Services will be 1 p.m.

She was 96. She was born in Binetto, Italy, and had lived in New York City be fore moving to North Brunswick in 1939. She was a member of the North Brunswick Senior Citizens, the Pioneers and the American Association of Retired Citizens. Her husband, Gabriel, died in 1966; a son, Angelo, died in 1990. Surviving are three daughters, Mary Santoro of North Brunswick, Rose Caruso of the Toms River section of Dover Township, and Louise of North Brunswick; three sons, Ralph of North Brunswick, Joseph of South Brunswick and Michael of Brick; 17 grandchildren; 23 greatgrandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter.

The funeral will be 8:15 a.m. Friday from Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick, followed by a 9 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church. Burial will follow at St.

'urn- tip: '-L Albert Gordzica died Friday at the Sun Health Care Center, Sun City, Ariz. He was 74. He was born in Connecticut and had lived in Old Bridge for many years before moving to Arizona.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Sayreville. He last worked at the Route 18 Flea Market, East Brunswick. He retired 12 years ago as security guard at Fleet Bank. Prior to that, he worked at N.L. Industries, Sayreville, for 29 years.

He was a sergeant in the Marine Corps from 1943 until 1946. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7508, Sayreville. His wife, Irene, died in 1997. Surviving are four daughters, Louise of Arizona, Elizabeth Rogers of the Belford section of Middle-town, Lee of the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick and Frances Reilly of Arizona; two sisters, Josephine Friedlich of Atlantic Highlands and Anna Pacy-lowsky of Maryland; four grandchildren, and a great-grandson. The funeral will be 9 a.m.

HUGHES AGE: 90 OLD BRIDGE Raphael S. Hughes died Monday at Carriage House Manor, Sayreville. He was 90. He was born in New York City and had lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., before moving to Old Bridge 29 years ago. Mr.

Hughes retired in 1971 after 28 12 years as supervisor for the U.S. Post Office in New York City. His wife, Catherine, died in 1953. Surviving are a son, Raphael S. Jr.

LaBRECQUE AGE: 77 RAHWAY Irene T. LaBrecque died yesterday at home. She was 77. She was born in Scranton, and had lived in Elizabeth before moving to Rahway in 1953. She retired 12 years ago after 23 years as a factory worker for Evans Rule Elizabeth.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6061, Colonia section of Woodbridge. She was a communicant of St. John Vianney R.C. Church, Colonia. Her husband, Louis, died in 1997.

Surviving are a sister, Gertrude Rispoli of Piscataway, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 9:45 a.m. Friday from Gosselin Funeral Home, Edison, followed by a 10:30 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. John Vianney R.C.

She was born in New Brunswick and lived there her entire life. She was a communicant of St. La-dislaus R.C. Church, New Brunswick. Her husband, Joseph, died in 1960.
