Kentucky opens the quest for its 32nd Southeastern Conference title tonight in what will probably be the Wildcats' final visit to one of their least favorite places Alligator Alley in Gainesville. The Gators generally give the 'Cats a run for their money, and tonight should be no exception.

Although Florida is off to a so-so start, defending national champion Kentucky waa stripped by graduation. Its youngsters are prone to becoming rattled on the road, especially in a place such as the Alley. In addition, Kentucky is a prima target for an upset. The 'Cats are coming off a sensational comeback victory over Notre Dame, which earned them a No. 8 rating in Tuesday's poll, and they may not have concluded titer celebrations.

The game kicks off a series of SEC games on WTOG-TV this season. Teem Points 1. Michigan Stata (7-1) (23) 447 2. Notre Dome (4-1) (3) 405 1. Rinois 124) I) 345 4.
