197S ENTERPRISE JOURNAL RECIPE EDITION 9 Beef Burgundy Pie Sounds Great JUDY'S HOT CHICKEN CASSEROLE 1 small fryer boiled and deboned 1 can mushrooms (pieces), drained 2 slices of bread, toasted and cubed 1 can water chesnuts, slivered stalk celery 1 teaspoon minced onion 3 drops tabasco 1 teaspoon lemon juice salt and pepper to taste 8 oz; cheddar cheese, cubed 13 cup milk 1 cup mayonnaise slivered, toasted almonds grated cheese Season cut up, boiled chicken with onion and garlic salt. Add the next 11 ingredients. Pour into greased casserole. Top with almonds and grated cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for '4 hour.

3 Days Only BEEF l3 cup flour 2 teaspoons salt Vi teaspoons pepper 2 lbs. round steak, cubes 2 cloves garlic l3 cup oil 2 cans beef broth, undiluted 2 cups hearty burgundy 2 cans artichoke hearts (drained) 2 large cans mushrooms (pieces) drained l3 cup flour 'i cup water 1 recipe drop biscuits Combine the first l3 cup flour, salt and pepper toss meat in this mixture to coat. In large dutch oven, brown meat and garlic in hot oil. Add beef broth, burgundy. Simmer covered for 1V4 hours stirring occasionally.

Add artichoke hearts and mushrooms. Cook 10 minutes more. Combine remaining flour and water. Stir into beef mixture. Cook, and stir till thick and bubbly.

Turn into two 2 quart casseroles. Top with drop biscuits. Bake till biscuits are brown at 400 degrees approximately 15 minutes. Yield 2 casseroles. 6 servings each.

I use drop biscuit recipe on Bisquick box. Phyllis Moore STRAWBERRY PRETZEL SALAD Good for class meetings, showers or just a family meal. cup margarine 3 tablespoons brown sugar cups crushed pretzels (not too fine I use my rolling pin to crush) 1 large package strawberry jello 2 cups boiling water 1 package frozen strawberries (let thaw slightly just before using) 1 -JLoz. cream cheese 1 cup granulated sugar 1 small whipped topping Combine margarine, brown sugar pretzels. Mix well.

Pat into a buttered 9 13" baking dish. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Dissolve jello in boiling water and add strawberries while still hot. Cool until mixture begins to set. Meanwhile cream the cream cheese with the sugar; fold in the whipped topping.

When the crust is cooled spread the cream cheese mixture over the crust and when jello begins to set pour over the cream cheese mixture. Refrigerate until firm preferably overnight. Serve as dessert or salad. You are in for a yummy surprise. Jeanne Y.

Smith HUNDRED DOLLAR STRAWBERRY WALDORF 1. Dissolve 1 pkg. strawberry jello in 1 cup boiling water. Add 2 small or 1 large package frozen strawberries to jello and a dash of salt. Set aside.

2. To crumbs from 25 graham crackers, add lb. melted butter and V4 cup chopped pecans. Press into 9x9x2 pan. 3.

Beat 3 eggs, 1 cup sugar and 1 large (8 oz.) cream cheese and dash of salt with electric mixer. Pour over crumbs and bake at 325 degrees for 3(M5 minutes till firm. 4. Remove from oven and spread 1 pint sour cream over custard. Bake 10-15 minutes till set.

5. Remove from oven and cool completely. Pour strawberry jello mixture over it. Chill for 24 hours. Phyllis Moore CHARLIE PIE (Makes two pies) Mix: 1 can condensed milk V4 lemon juice 1 large size Cool Whip Add: 1 large can crushed pineapple (drained) 1 cup chopped pecans Fill graham cracker crusts.
