Two other teams also had a pair of first-round picks, Green Bay selecting defensive back Willie Buchanon of San Diego State and quarterback Jerry Tagge of Nebraska and the New York Jets picking Jackson State wide receiver Jerome Barkum and Michigan linebacker Mike Taylor.
