The guests were seated by- John Lcman Robb, the bride's brother, and by Mr. Murphey, her brother-in-law.

The bride wore a wedding gown of peau de sole with a long-sleeved lace bodice and an overlay of lace on the full skirt. A jeweled band her illusion, veil. bridal 'white lilacs and orchids, were carried upon a lace fan. Mrs. Murphey woie a brilliant pink chiffon ensemble with a matching headdress and carried a cascade of pink carna- tions and roses.

Pickering heads the list ol outstanding Altadena residents who will be honored Friday noon at a celebrity luncheon in AHadena Town and Country Club given by Altadena Woman's members. As director of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Dr. Pick- ering figured prominently in the successful Range VIII moon shot and pictures.

Other prominent Altadenans to be honored are Helen Wigg Elgin, harpist; Helen Hinkley, Dorothy Jordon, artist; Dr. Robert S. Richard, son, astronomer; Nishan Toor, sculptor and Harriet Ueckcr Ruth Scott, actresses. Mrs. Irvin Morlcy, chairman of the day, will present scrolls of appreciation to the honorees.

Pasadena area members of a.new commitlee composed of past presidents of 21 groups affiliated with the Southern California Symphony A will attend, with then- families, a benefit concert by the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra today. The special matinee performance to benefit the orchestra will take place in the Pavilion of the Music Center. It will star Jack Benny, conduclor Zubin Meh- ta, and pianist John Browning. Ralph Edwards will be host, and the concert will be taped by TV Tor re-broadcast on seven evenings on seven channels March 28-April 3. Members from this area are Mmes.
