I noticed that one problem with the motel TV was that faces turned out to be a lovely grape color. Not owning a color TV, my adjustments were amateurish. Throughout the evening we had different shades of grape and lavender faces.

Some of the other Jacksonites invited us to their room for a friendly drink, so we abandoned grape stained TV faces for belter things. An hour later we returned for another dose of bright colors and sick people. Later wo were invited out for dinner and I noted that our host wisely kept his TV tuned to the music, news and weather channel. Many, many barbequed spareribs and more friendly refreshments later, we returned to the motel for a lavender Lloyd Lindsay Young. I couldn't recall if Lloyd Lindsay Young had been lavender the last time I saw him In Jackson.

High point of the otherwise dull TV evening was the late movie. By this time the faces had changed This Friday "It's Good To Be Alive: The Story of Roy Campanella" will appear on CBS affiliates. As many of you may remember, Campy had been a star catcher for the Brooklyn Dodgers for nine seasons when an auto I notice from some of the future billings that we are still being given sneak previews of shows to come. Anyway, his latest stolen look at the future tells us that police and detective shows are on the wane and that the sentimental and the goodie shows will blossom this fall.
