1 THURSDAY. MAY 26. 1983 THE HOME NEWS STATE A1 7 'Iceman' pleads guilty to 2 more killings, admits another HACKENSACK (AP) Richard Kuklinski, who was convicted in March of murdering two alleged accomplices in a crime ring, pleaded guilty yesterday to two other killings and confessed to a fifth. In return for the pleas, prosecutors agreed to drop weapons-possession charges against his wife, Barbara, 46, and dismiss drug and weapons charges against his son, Dwayne, 19. Superior Court Judge Frederick W.

Kuechenmeister accepted the pleas and immediately sentenced Kuklinski, 53, to two life-in-prison terms to be served concurrently with the minimum 60-year term he received for the two murder convictions in March. "The advantage to the state of these two guilty pleas is that regardless of the outcome of Kuklin-ski's appeals on his two prior convictions, he will still have to spend the rest of his life behind bars," said First Assistant Attorney General Donald R. Belsole. "If we had gone to trial and gotten a conviction on these two cases, the sentences would be the same since they are not death-penalty cases," Belsole said in a prepared statement. Kuklinski pleaded guilty to the murder of George Malliband of Huntington, who was killed between Jan.

27 and Feb 6, 1980, in Jersey City, and to the slaying of Louis Masgay, of Forty Fort, who was killed between July 1, 1981, and Feb. 25, 1982. Masgay's body was found in Orangetown, N.Y., after having been stored in a freezer for many months. Authorities dubbed Kuklinski "The Iceman" for allegedly putting the body in the freezer. At the time of both crimes, New Jersey did not have a death-penalty law.

In court yesterday, Kuklinski confessed to the murder of Paul Hoffman of Cliffside Park, who was killed April 29, 1982, in North Bergen. A spokesman for Attorney General Cary Edwards, Tom Cannon, said Kuklinski wasn't sentenced on this killing because authorities had a weak case and that it wouldn't have made any difference to sentence Kuklinski to another life term. Kuklinski's attorney, Neal Frank, said the fifth murder charge was dropped by prosecutors after "Mr. Kuklinski told them what he knew about the killing." Frank declined to say whether Kuklinski confessed. Kuklinski was charged in two indictments which alleged that he lured victims into bringing large amounts of cash to predetermined locations to consumate business deals.

When the men arrived, Kuklinski murdered them, then took the cash they had brought with them, the indictments said. Dwyer, D-6th last year augmented his $87,500 congressional salary with $98,430 he received from renewals of insurance policies he sold with Fraser Brothers, using a loophole in the law to avoid a cap on outside earned income per year. John F. Davidson, an attorney with the House Committee on Standards of Official Conduct, said earnings that a member of Congress "had coming to him prior to coming to Congress" are not included when figuring out earned income. Outside earned income was capped at $25,884 in 1987. Dwyer had either the highest or second highest net worth of the 11 New Jersey House members who filed disclosure forms for 1987.

Two members Republican Rep. James Courter and Democratic Rep. Frank J. Guarini did not file. Democratic Rep.

Jim Howard died earlier this year and has not been replaced. Rep. Matthew J. Rinaldo, R-llth was also near the top end of the net worth scale for New Jersey house members. His assets were measured at $353,061 to $1,665,500 last year.

Rinaldo earned $27,800 from speeches and $200 from two articles in 1987, according to his disclosure statement. His form shows he gave $2,115 of this to various unspecified charities, bringing his earned income to just one cent under the limit of $25,884.99. Rep. Christopher H. Smith, R-4th listed only $1,000 for a speech, interest of less than $1,000 from an account in the Wright Patman Congressional Federal Credit Union and between $60,004 and $200,000 in accruals on treasury certificates he holds for his four children. Colleges can't hide reviews of employees TRENTON (AP) A college or university can be forced to disclose confidential reviews used in tenure and promotion decisions to an employee who has filed a discrimination complaint, the state Supreme Court ruled yesterday.

The 7-0 ruling came in the case of Dr. Ruth Dixon, an assistant professor at Rutgers University's Camden campus who is pressing a sex discrimination complaint against Rutgers for refusing to grant her a promotion. The nearly 11-year-old case has pitted a university's self-proclaimed "academic freedom" against the rights of a professor who claims to have been the subject of discrimination. The high court said it is "mindful of the need to retain the confiden 42" CEILING FAN WITH LIGHT KIT White finish with polished brass trim School house light kit 3 speed with reverse, no. o3-boo-984 EASY ASSEMBLY.
