The for Corn-On-The-Cob Try these hints for tastier corn. 1. To freshen or keep corn fresh, cut a small piece off the stalks and stand ears in pot of water until cooking.

2. Use 1 tbsp. salt to each qt. of cooking water. 3.

Place corn in fast boiling water, lid off, and boil 3 minutes. No longer. (If you start with tough corn, long boiling won't make it soft and tender.) 4. Shake on salt to taste, before buttering corn. 5.

Be sure to use the "unbouncy" salt, Diamond Crystal. Unlike ordinary salts that bounce off the corn, every grain of Diamond Crystal Salt has tiny, diamond -like facets that cling to the corn for even salting and crystal pure taste.
