Rev Up Muscles To Look Better By MARY SUE MILLER Lovely writes: "I dislike exercising but regret it. Although I not reached that "certain age" yet, my 1. arms and legs are losing their firm tone from inactivity, or so I am told. Would an electric vibrating slant board improve the tone? If not, is there an automated machine that could? I have to let Santa know! The Answer: To firm the flesh, the underly. ing muscles have to be tightened.

Regular exercise strengthens muscular contractions. Once taut, the muscles hold the flesh in a firmer grip and thereby improve figure proportions. When you are anti-exercise there is value in machines that automatically set the muscles to working. A vibrating slant board is not one of those, Its stated purpose is to relieve fatigue and tension and to rev up circulation. It performs the job well, too.
