It was Christmastime and the King asked Alicia to use her magic fishbone to help them. Instead, she begged Mr. Gingery to rehire her father and, although he remained stubborn, invited him to their humble home. Mr. Gingery, struck by the goodness of the King and Alicia, rehired the King.

Needless to say, they lived happily ever after. "f-r-tHE MAGIC FISHBONE" by Charles Dickens will be the Tuesday, Aug.

19 offering of Shirley Temple's Storybook, 8 p.m. WFLA-TV (NBC). Here's the story, in which all wishes come true: Once upon a time there was a poor king named Watkins (Barry Jones) so poor, in fact, that he had to work for a living for a miser named Mr. Gingery (Leo G. Carroll).

His daughter. Princess Alicia (Lisa Daniels), kept house for him and the rest of his seven Children. Alicia's Fairy Grand Marina (Estelle Win-wood) advised her to take the bone of a salmon as fishbone-wishbone, guaranteeing that it would make one wish and only one wish come true.
