George Perry, 13 diamonds. They were too astounded to play it out. "An Old Sweetheart of Mine" by Marjorie Lynn Witherington. A new member, Mrs. John Campbell was introduced to the club.

Guests for the afternoon were. Mrs. J. B. McDaniel, Mrs.

Dave Campbell Mrs. Greer Daniel. At the close of the program, bulbs which the ladies brought were exchanged. A social hour was enjoyed with the hostesses. QUILLIANS ARE HONORED AT HOUSTON Dr.

and Mrs. Paul Quillian of Houston. Texas, formerly of Camden were honored at a testimonial dinner in Houston recently attended by over 1,000 people of all denominations. The dinner was held at the Rice Hotel. Dr.

Quilian is pastor of the First Methodist Church of Houston and he was given high honors at the dinner. "We don't care about their theology; we like their Dr. A. Frank Smith, Methodist bishop of the Houston area said at the dinner. The dinner marked Dr.

Quillian's twelfth year as pastor of First Church. It was planned by his Amsterdahile the Holland, pastor as a was of dele- the in First Assembly World Council of Churches. A photograph of Dr. and Mrs. Quillian at the dinner also appeared in the Houston newspapers.

The Quillians were in Camden in 1924-25 where he made a great record as pastor of the First Methodist church. He went from Camden to Little Rock. MISS PERKINS TO WED IN HOUSTON Announcement is madee today of the approaching marriage of Miss Wanda Perkins, daughter Mr. and Mrs. Wilton Gorham of Houston.

Texas, to Lester Howard Sorsby Jr. son of and Mrs. Lester Howard Sorsby. The wedding will be an event of October .16 at the First Methodist Church in Houston. Perkins was a member of the 1947 Graduating Class of Camden High School.

Hamilton Moses of the Arkansas Economic Council-State Chamber of Commerce. is scheduled for a third "Build Your Home Town' tour which will take him to 15 Southwest Arkansas cities in 14 counties within five days beginning October 18.

At least three speaking appearances are scheduled for breakfast, luncheon and dinner meetings each day, with the tour to cover some 700 miles. Correspondents and tives of the nation's leading financial journals, in addition to staff members of newspapers, and press associations from all sections have been invited to accompany Mr. on the tour. which has attracted national attention in Chamber of Commerce circles.
