R. A. PENDERGRASS Stadent Scholarship CROSSETT (Special) Richard Andrew Pendergrass has been named as a recipient of the National Merit Scholarship. He is the third Crossett student to receive the college scholarship, which is based on results of tests taken in the junior year of students. Pendergrass, 17, is the son of M-sgt and Mrs.

Curtis A. Pendergrass. His father is stationed in Korea. He has three younger sisters. He plans to attend the University of Kansas, where he will major in political science and psychology with a minor in music.

He is a member of the Key Club, Mu Alpha Theta, Dramatics Club, and a member of the five-piece Rusty Strings folk singers which won the State Livestock Show talent contest in 1966, in their category. 26 Arkansans Given Awards EVANSTON, 111 (AP) Twenty six Arkansas high school seniors were named winners Wednesday in the 12th National Merit scholarship program.
