April by iue confession of Joe Wiggins. a former life convict, Will Rogera. uncle of little Waldo Rogers, was arrested tonight for complicity in lad's abduction John Rogers, another uncle is under surveilance. For the return $12.000 ransom was paid. Will Rogers acting as agent for Mrs Rogers.

Late tonight Rogers confessed his part in the abduction. He told where the money was hidden and officers have gone in search of the $12,000. In his statement Will Rogers does not connect his brother with the kidnapping plot The latter has ndl been arrested To-night's disclosures have again a demonstration against the prisoners aroused the city to such efrltemer that the authorities fear there may be a demonstration against the prisoners. The accused are in the county Jail, which is guarded by a large force of deputies. The prisoner a Finlander who was serving a 90 day sentence at the Marquette county Jail and who. while acting as a trusty escaped, lie was traced to Escanaba and while the officer was walking on the street yesterday he met the prisoner and promptly placed him under arrest. Deputy Spurley returned to Marquette yesterday afternoon with his prisoner. Washington, April Lafe Young, of Iowa, said that not long ago he was In a Michigan city and wanted to telephone some one he knew. He suggested the cows would have to go unmilked, unless the custom of Michigan men is to make their wives do the milking while they run the government, Mr. Young was speaking in the senate on representative government. There is some suspicion that Mr. Young may have been aiming at Grand Rapids, for he apologized to Senator Smith, who was in the chair.
