THE HILLSDALE DAILY NEWS, Tuesday, August 24, 1971 MR. and MRS. PATRIC L. FOUST Farver, Foust Wed In Church OSSEO Sharon Lee Farver and Patric Lynn Foust were married at the St. Lutheran Church, Hillsdale.

The Rev. Edwin Carey performed the double ring ceremony before an altar decorated with baskets of white gladioli and chrysanthemums. Debbie Long played a prelude of organ music. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor-length gown of white silk spun linen fashioned with a mandarin collar, long full sleeves and cummerbund accented with Venise lace. Matching lace trimmed the cuffs of the sleeves and a bow at the back of the waistline held the detachable Watteau train.

A pillbox headpiece covered with lace and seed pearls held her elbow length veil of silk illusion, and she wore a gold and diamond heart-shaped necklace which was a gift from her parents. She carried a wicker basket of white daisies with white ribbon streamers. Mrs. Greg Hinkle was matron of honor and she wore a floor length gown of yellow chiffon fashioned with an Empire waistline, and long sleeves. The bodice and cuffs were accented with daisy appliques.

She wore a white lace picture hat with yellow daisy streamers, fashioned by the mother, and she carried a wicker basket of multicolored daisies with turquoise netting and ribbon. bridesmaids were Joanne Foust, Vicki Hart and Sue Flint. Their dresses were similar to that of the matron of honor, but in turquoise. They wore white lace picture hats with daisy streamers and carried wicker baskets of multicolored daisies with yellow netting and bows. All the attendants wore white gold monogram necklaces which were gifts from the bride.

Greg Hinkle was best man and ushers were Eugene Foust and Dennis Foust, brothers of the bridegroom, and Tracy Hart. A reception for 110 guests was held at die Jonesville American Legion Hall. The three tiered cake was made by Mrs. Harold Sheffer and was cut by Mrs. Wayne Stonesifer.

Refreshments were served by Mrs. Eugene Foust, Mrs. Bernard Yeagley, Mrs. Harold Sheffer and Mrs. Olin Scheidler.

Wendy Worstaff, Mrs. Donald Dunn and Mrs. Norman Stewart were in charge of gifts. Mrs. David Farver registered the guests.

The rehearsal dinner was given by Mr. and Mrs. Lorell Foust, assisted by Mrs. Robert Foust. A pre-nuptial party was given by Mrs.

David Farver. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Farver of 15 S. Bird Lake Road.

She was graduated from Hillsdale High School in 1969 and from the Riggs School of Beauty Culture in 1970. She is employed at Vaco Products in Jonesville. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lorell Foust of 44 E.

Lynwood Hillsdale. He was graduated from Hillsdale High School in 1970 and is employed at Permaneer Company, Hillsdale. The couple took a short wedding trip to Northern Michigan and is now at home at 492 W. Carleton Road, Hillsdale. 4-H Club Holds Tour LITCHFIELD members of the Litchfield 4-H Livestock Club looked at all the livestock and gardens of the members on its tour.

Because many members belong to both livestock and garden clubs, they got the benefit of Mr. Fred personal advice as well as criticism and suggestions from the Livestock Club leader, Gene Blonde and Leo McMillan and Manuel Peiffer. After the tour, members met at the shelter by the Litchfield pool for a potluck supper. President Craig Blonde announced that the club will have a work meeting on the float at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

After the supper parents visited while most of the 4-H members swam. YES BAC SCHl ALR J. Wildridge Dies At 47 JONESVILLE James W. Wildridge, 47, was dead on arrival at the Hillsdale Community Health Center after suffering a heart attack in his home shortly after noon Monday. Wildridge was bom Nov.

1, 1924, in Dyersburg, to Walter and Rhoda Sparks Wildridge. He has lived in Jonesville since 1960 and was an employe of Addison Products there. Wildridge was married Oct. 8, 1949, in Bowling Green, Ohio, to Opal Cayce. She survives.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Burtis (Tatricia) Williams of Hillsdale, and Sandra, at home; three sisters, Mrs. Roman (Floy) Podleski of Omer, Mrs. Cleve (Christine) Garrison of Hohenwald, and Mrs. Willie (Beth) Shanes of Only, and two brothers, Leon of Cedar Grove, and Walter of Columbus, Ga.

The funeral service has been set for Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Densel Fuller officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Sunset View Cemetery, Jonesville.

Mrs. Esterline Dies At 79 CAMDEN Viola Esterline, 79, of Fremont. died Monday at 7 p.m. at the Cameron Hospital in Angola, after an illness of one year. She was born in York, op Aug.

14, 1892 to George and Maggie Benjamin Bennett. Mrs. Esterline was a retired saleslady and clerk with W. and D. of Fort Wayne and Marshall Field of Chicago.

She was a member of the Clear Lake Baptist Church and the Indies Aid Society. She married Harry Esterline on March 7, 1960. He survives. She was preceded in death by a previous husband, Orville Maugherman and one brother. Survivors include: one son, Ross Maugherman of Edon, Ohio; four sisters, Clela Dick of Auburn, Maggie Kigelman of Florida, Rose Jones and Carrie Anderson of Chicago, one brother Royal Bennett of Coldwater; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The funeral service has been set for Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Robert Waterhouse officiating. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Interment will be in the Camden Cemetery. C. F. Baker Dies At 68 READING Charles F. Baker, 68, of Reading died Monday morning at his home after a lengthy illness.

Baker was bom April 13,1903 in Fulton, N.Y., to Frank and Dora Martin Baker. He was a lifetime member of the Detroit Metropolitan Lodge No. 519 and AM. Survivors include: his wife, Eleanor, four nieces and three nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

The funeral service has been set for Thursday at 2 p.m. the Rev. Charles Bloomer officiating. Interment will be in the King Lake Cemetery and there will be Masonic graveside rites. Spiders Males of the bird group of spiders mature in to nine years, then usually die within a few months, but females of the same group of spiders have been known to live in captivity for more than 20 years.

MRS. WILLIAM BENZ Ex-Resident Wed In Adrian OSSEO Robinette and William Benz were married in the First Baptist Church of Adrian. Lome Clemes performed the evening double ring ceremony, and Mrs. David McKelvie played a prelude of organ music. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an A-line gown of white silk organza fashioned with a chapel train and detailed in delicate flowers of Venise lace on the short sleeves and bodice.

A Venise Camelot cap secured her appliqued veil of French illusion, and she carried a bouquet of gardenias. Maudy Benz was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Mrs. Robert Mason, Mrs. Jerry Hayden and Mrs. Raymon Blazak.

They wore sleeveless floor-length gowns of larkspur blue Moygashel linen detailed at the bodices with Venise lace appliques. Dr. Steven Benz was best man and ushers were Jay Neukom, Richard Goedert and Ken Burchfield. Worton Reunion Held In Camden MONTGOMERY The Worton family reunion was held at the village park in Camden with forty relatives present. Officers for next year are: president, Delmar Percy; vice president, Lewis Crall and secretary and treasurer, Mrs.

Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Harley Spittler of Osseo. She was graduated from Western Michigan University. The bridegroom is the son of Dr.

and Mrs. Carl Benz of 3031 Spielman Road, Adrian. He was graduated from Western Michigan University and will attend the University of Toledo Law School. The couple took a wedding trip to northern Michigan and are now at home at 2487 Parkwood Toledo, Ohio. Miss Walkup Goes Abroad LITCHFIELD -Jennifer Walkup, daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Max Walkup of Litchfield, will leave for London, England Sept. 7 to spend a fall term there as part of a retailing field experience program under the auspices of the Michigan State University Human Environment and Design department. Jennifer (who is better known as Jane in this area) will travel with three other students from MSU and will work at the Dickens and Jones retail store in London from Sept. 13 through Dec.

13. In previous years, the MSU program students had traveled within the states, but never abroad. All four students are seniors in textile and clothing retailing, and like the 45 other students training in the U.S. this fall, they will work a 40 hour week under supervision of retail managers. Their work will involve practical application of ideas learned in class, a study of trade practices in clothing retailing, attendance at seminars presented by the store, and a summary evaluation of the merchandising policies.

An added pleasure to the trip will be a visit from parents in October. Marian and Max will visit their own daughter in London first and then on to Herdecke, Germany, where they will visit Ursula Hausheir who stayed in Litchfield with the Walkups during the 1966-67 school year, under the auspices of the Youth For Understanding program. There were 37 guests present for the carry-in dinner and the steak cook-out. Mr. And Mrs.

Gates Honored FRONTIER -S-Sgt. and Mrs. Bernard Gates and Holly were guests of honor at a family dinner held at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.

D. Dennis Sr. of Frontier. The Gateses will leave in September for a three year tour of duty in Germany. Present at the dinner were: Mr.

and Mrs. Harold Cooley of Philadelphia; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Dennis and family; Mr. and Mrs.

John Doty and sons of Otsego; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Spahr and family; Mr. and Mrs. David Fowler and family; Mr.

A graduate of Fort Wayne, Ind. business school, the pert redhead was with the Senator during his two years in the House. Sen. Ballenger, (R-Ovid), is the youngest (just turned 30) Republican in the Senate, and he was the youngest in the House.

His staff refers to him as the hero of the Lib group, as he sponsored the Maternity Leave bill. Others in the picture are Jamelia Dyer and Carol Macintosh. Dorm Rates Nader Not Frozen EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) Michigan State University plans to increase its dormitory ratels by $60 despite the Nixon freeze on wages and prices, school officials said Monday. The rent for a two-man dorm room for the coming academic year will be $1,140.

Roger E.
