It is claimed that much money has been lost by the company on this account. Following close upon the reductions of forces of the Union Pacific, come the rumors that there' will be reductions on other railroads centering in Omaha. One railroad man said that there was no improvement in business and that he could not see how the roads could avoid a reduction in forces; as this was about the only way "whereby the expenses could be cut down. It is not exoected that the reduction on other roads will le of such wholesale character aa on the Union Pacific. The Burlington management says that it will be necessary to put on the lng expected additional tourist sleeper between Boston and Los Angeles In a few days.

The present weekly tourist car between the two points is crowded every Staff Captain Cousins, of the Denver division of the Salvation army arrived in the city today to take charge of the Nebraska of the midland division.
