Rfcports from Swiss and German newpapero Indicate Ahat a great political disturbance is going- on In Austria-Hungary. It is stated that Baron von Husearek, the Austrian premier, is likely to bo succeeded by Heln- ed upon getting into the fray and remained thru the first half. Early in the third quarter, be was forced to leave the field and af'er the game, was rushed to his room and put back to bed. He had no business in the game. The loss of their captain undoubtedly threw a shadow over the Husker play.

His brainy leadership was missed. Iowa feared Schellenberg and the fact that he was forced to leave the game undoubtedly injected new life into the' Hawkeye attack. This waa one of the breaks of the game. Conjecture as to what the Huskers might have done with Schelly in there and at his best Is idle. Iowa won by right, of superiority.

Her line outheld and outcharged the Nebraska line. Her backfield stars. Lohman, Sykes and Scott, crashed thru, the Husker defense with the force of a piledriver. Three of her four attempts at trw forward pass were successful and one of these netted a touchdown. Nebraska attempted five forward passes and all of them were fizzles.

In this department, the absence of Schellenbeig was keenly realized. The breaks were against the Huskers. But breaks have a habit of favoring the side that plays the best ball. The Huskers suffered from penalties and were forced to yield fifty-five yards for holding and roughness. One penalty being charged to the latter.

Iowa matched her few penalties for off -side against Nebraska's and these balanced so that the invaders were required to forfeit but five yards. The Iowa line grew stronger as the game progressed, while the Husker line sreakened. Lohman, -the individual star, received excellent Interference, as did the other men. The Husker interference was conspicuous by its absence. Hubka, who did the bulk of Nebraska's ground gaining, did it alone.

Time after time McMahon had excellent chances to reach the clearing had some Husker teammate been on the -job to brush aside the tackier. Considering this brand of Interference, the Nebraska gains were remarkable especially those by McMahon and Hubka. Chances to Score. Twice during the first quarter, the Huskers were within the Iowa ten-yard chalk. Once they were held for downs and on the other occasion, Hubka essayed a drop kick on the fourth down.

The one redeeming feature of the Husker play waa the refusal of the team to slacken its efforts, even after defeat was certain. Early in the fourth quarter, the lowans were steadily pushed back toward their own goal. And with the objective in sight, a Husker fumbje turned i Wo arc managing, properties, collecting rents, interest and dividends, paying taxes, life insurance premiums, etc for men going into service. Sykes returned eleven yards to tho Husker 21-yard lino. On short line bucks. Lohman, Scott and Sykes carried the oval thru for a second and final touchdown, Greenwood missed both goals.

Altho Lohman was the glittering Tight of the Iowa attack, Scott, Sykes, Kelly, Reed and Slater, big colored tackle, performed fully up to championship caliber. Hubka played wonderful ball at times. He tore great holes In the Iowa line repeatedly but when the pinches came, the Nebraska attack weakened and the Iowa line held The bulk ot the. Iowa gains were thru the line inside the tackles.
