In addition to working in the textile industry, she and her husband ran the Gaffney Farmers Market and enjoyed farming their land together. She was a faithful member of Grassy Pond Baptist Church for more than 50 years, and was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Clemson Home emonstration Club. mma Lee will be remem- ered for her generous per- onality and delicious cooking. A dedicated wife, sister, aunt and friend, she will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James Almarine McCraw; sisters, Earlene Roberson, Johnie Mae Scruggs and Maggie Hawkins; and brothers, Jack Mintz, Joe Mintz, Knox Mintz and Chelve Mintz.

Those left to cherish her memory include a sister, Bonnie Mintz Hines and husband, Max; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members; and a special niece and caregiver, Jeanie Anderson. Palmer Funeral services for Dennis Palmer, 64, of 187 Carson Circle, Chesnee, husband of Emma Jean Smith Palmer of Spartanburg, will be held Monday, Feb. 24, at 1 p.m. at Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 645 Old Howard Gap Road, Spartanburg, with Overseer T. A. Lockhart, the Rev.

Dennis J. Smith, Pastor Raymond Davis, the Rev. Tina Palmer Posey, the Rev. Walter Belton and Elder Mary Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Island Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Cowpens.

He was a etired electrician, loved ishing and woodworking. Mr. Gordon was a United States Army veteran and a member of Encounter Church.

In addition to his wife, surviving are five sons, Jimmy Ray Gordon of Cherryville, N.C., Rick Gordon and wife, Becky, of Gaffney, Tony Gordon and wife, Lois, of Shelby, N.C., Sonny Preston and wife, Darlene, of Gaffney and Brian Preston and wife, Melisa, of Gaffney; three daughters, Tammy Gordon Smith of York, Sherry Dunn and husband, Scott, of Gastonia and Stacy Wicks and husband, Thomas, of Cowpens; a sister, Elizabeth Bo eals of Gaffney; 17 grand- hildren; and 12 great- randchildren. r. Gordon was preceded in death by two daughters, Gay Gordon and Sandy Gordon; two brothers, Alex Gordon and Punk Gordon; a sister, Linda Ruppe; and a grandchild. She retired from Hamrick's after 20 years of service, and at the time of her death, she was employed by Walmart, where she had worked for 1 6 years. he is survived by four aughters, Janice Dawkins Wash) of Gaffney, Denise Sims of Oxford, Marie Sims of the home and Fatisha Ellis of Gaffney; two sons, Billy Sims (Cynthia) of Greenville and Terry Sims of Gaffney; four granddaughters and two grandsons she reared as her own, Jabria Byers of the home, Jamekia Dawkins, Kamisha Sims, Shan Sims and Terry Sims, all of Gaffney, and Brad Dawkins of Atlanta, three sisters, Cynthia Brockman of Cowpens, Jackie osey and Deitra Whiteside, both of Spartanburg; three brothers, Charles Dewberry (Bessie) of Gaffney, John Earl Dewberry (Mozelle) of Cowpens, and Artis Dewberry (Sandra) of Cleveland, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; an uncle, Clemon Makupson Linnie) of Cowpens; an a unt, Rachel Smith of affney; and a host of ieces, nephews and other elatives. he family is at the home. Born in Washington, D.C., on March 3, 1921, she was the widow of Melvin William Correll and daughter of the late Roy Chester Potts and Helene Mittendorf Potts. Mrs.

Correll was a graduate of Michigan State University and retired after 25 years of service as an adult education teacher. She loved bread baking and knitting and was a member of alvary Assembly in Winter ark, Fla. urviving are six sons, ohn Correll and wife, Janet, of Canton, James orrell of Geneva, homas Correll of Lexing- on, N.C., Robert Correll and ife, Gail, of Gaffney, Dona ld Correll and wife, Tina, of Jackson, and David Correll and wife, Reneem of Berryville, Ark. a brother, Chester Potts of Central, 14 grandchildren, William Correll, Lesley Correll, Matthew Correll, Jeffrey Correll and wife, Erin, Rebecca Dugenske, Rachel Correll, Christy Correll- Hughes and husband, Larry, Sharai Amaya and husband, Evan, Joanna Battise and husband, Mark, Donald Correll, Diana Correll, Chase Correll and wife, Holly, aitlyn Pandian and hus- and, Jacob, and Colton orrell and wife, Kim; and 1 4 great-grandchildren.
