About 150 students in vocal and instrumental music will participate in the varied pro- Sault Youths Held For 'Bomb Scare' At High School SAULT STE MARIE--Three high school students arrested by Sault City Police for allegedly making a "bomb scare" telephone call to Sault High School last Wednesday, pleaded guilty to making a false report when arraigned before Municipal Judge James J. Fenlon and are being held in Chippewa County jail in lieu of $500 bond. Arrested were Ronald McClellan, 17, Daniel Hughes, 17, and Paui Allen, 18.

The admitted to police they made the first of three "bomb scare" telephone calls to the high school in less than a week. The boys said the call was a prank. Detectives said the three were arrested after checking leads on the case. Parents Urged To Be Alert On Hearing Losses Nestor A. Wickman spoke to the Better Hearing and Speech Society al the Chamber of Commerce Building last night about the hearing conservation program in the Delta-Menominee Health District.

Wickman has been regional audiologist for the Michigan Department of Health for 12 years. He serves all the Upper Peninsula. He urged parents to be alert to hearing loss in their school children, pre-schoolers, and infants and to get help for the hearing handicapped child without delay. "The speech and hearing programs have a long way to go," he said. An audiological center at Northern Michigan University for complete evaluation is sought.

Directors approved scholarships to speech class students whose parents are members of the society. Meetings will recess during the summer and resume Sept. 29. Edward Roche, 54, of San Gabriel, member of a prominently known Escanaba family, died Thursday in San Gabriel Community Hospital following a heart attack which he suffered ten days ago.

He was born in Escanaba, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George W. Roche, and he was a graduate of Escanaba High School. He had lived in San Gabriel for a number of years.

Surviving are his wife, Doris; one son, Ted, two sisters, Mrs. William D. Monroe of Jackson, and Mrs. Richard C. Hammerschmidt, Marquette.

The body was taken to Duboi Funeral Home, 116. San Gabriel Drive, Can Gabriel. Funeral services will be held Monday. Obituary WILLIAM M. KORKOSHIK Services for William M.

Korkoshik were conducted by the Rev. George A. John Porthan at 11 a. m. today at St.

Stephen's Episcopal Church. Committal rites took place at Lakeview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Hjalmer Wilson, Einar Beck, Dwayne Burak, Connie L. The Freshmen Choral will present selections from the tuneful favorite "Wizard of Oz." "Cotton Fields" by Ledbetter will be one of the songs offered by the Holy Name Folk Singers, followed by selections on the organ played by Paulette Vanlerberghe. The Girls' Choral will sing three songs, opening with "Ave Maria," and at intermission there will be organ music by Miss Vanlerberghe. Manley Anderson will direct the Band in a pleasing program of selections that includes Paces' "Toulon Overture," the Rachmaninoff prelude and the popular "Hello Dolly." In "Badinage for Brass" by Walters the Band's percussion, trombone and cornet sections are featured. The incidental soloists are Pete Priniski, Kathy Ross and Dean Schoen. Chester Nielsen Dies Suddenly In Milwaukee Tom Beauchamp and Mrs.

George Belanger of Escanaba and Mrs. Harvey Gardner of Gladstone have returned from Milwaukee where they were called by the death of their brother-in-law, Chester P. Nielsen, 65, of 4243 S. Lenox former resident of Gladstone. Mr.

Nielsen died May 9 following a heart attack. Services were held Wednesday at St. Veronica's Catholic Church and burial will be in Olympia, Wash. He is survived by his wife. Eva, a former resident of Escanaba, one son, Eugene, Olympia, and two brother, Clifford and Norbert, and two sisters.

(Daily Press Photo) Scout Council Annual Meet Set For Sunday Boy Scout people from all corners of the Hiawathaland Council (Upper Peninsula) will assemble at Sault Ste. Marie Sunday for the 21st annual meeting of the Council which was formed by the merger of five smaller Councils, 22 years ago, Clifton F.

Rogers, Houghton, announced today. The business meeting will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Sault Savings Bank. Election of officers and the approval of the 1966 budget will be principle items requiring a vote. Ladies will be treated to a special Soo Tour Train ride during the business meeting and all will reassemble at the First Methodist Church at 5:30 p.m for dinner.

A program will follow the dinner in the auditorium of Soo Tech with Dr. Kenneth Shouldice, Soo, presiding as master of ceremonies. The program will include: a brief report of the afternoon's meeting and election, and presentations to outstanding Scouters including those who will receive Wood Badge Beads for leadership training and five Silver Beavers will be presen- ted. The Silver Beaver Award for outstanding service to youth in the Council territory is a most distinguished award. Less than a dozen Scout Council's in the United States can boast of a 55 year veteran Scouter and Hiawathaland i is one of these councils.

Perry Hotch of Marquette will be honored with the presentation of this award. The presentation will be handled by the National Council Members with James Jones of Gladstone, chairman of the presentation Briefly Told American Legion Post 82 will meet at the clubrooms Monday, May 17, at 8 p. m. Linda White, 12, of 2425 1st Ave. who was injured when the bicycle she was riding collided with a car, did not ride her bike into the street and into the side of the auto as the Daily Press reported Thursday.

He is survived by one son, Richard, and one brother, Hector, both of Detroit. The body was taken to the Degnan Funeral Home. Arrangements are incomplete, pending the arrival of members of the family. Rapid River Jeff Johnson returned to Washington, D.C., Wednesday after spending two weeks with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
