Honeywell signed a letter of intent in October to service Xerox equipment that had been purchased or rented by customers.

The two companies said then they expected to have a contract by Dec. 1 for a transaction to be effective Jan. 1. Stamford, Conn. (AP) -Xerox Corp.

says it is discussing the possible sale of manufacturing rights to its computer lines to Honeywell Inc. As previously reported, the two companies are negotiating details of an agreement under which Honeywell would assume responsibility for maintenance and service for installed Xerox computers. City Councilman Bob Sikyta says the, idea of a drive-in Violations Bureau has been discussed for the past five years. The Violations Bureau is currently located in the City-County Building and generates quite a bit of foot traffic. The commission discussed several possible sites for a drive-in facility with two things in mind; the bureau needs to be near the City-County Building to provide quick access to court records when necessary, and it has to be located where it will create minimal automobile traffic congestion. United Strike Forces Change Of Plans for 1,400 Locally Ceresco Boy Treated for Bullet Wound A Ceresco boy, 10, was accidentally shot in his right leg Sunday by a friend while the two were playing together. Kendall Johnson accidentally shot Cooley with a rifle, according to sheriff's reports. $12,000 Raised So Far Wheat Growers Might Sue Over Soviet Pact Airlines, will begin making Omaha-Chicago flights in a few days to fill the void left by the United strike. Two round-trip Chrystal flights, each carrying 24 passengers, are planned daily, said Russ Klay, administration director of the Omaha airport Authority. The flight will take two hours, compared to United's one-hour flight time.

An Omaha airport spokesman said about 85 of the persons planning to fly United have found other ways to travel. United also announced day that the strike has forced the layoff of another 13,000 persons nationwide. No one in Lincoln was affected by the layoff. capacity already," said Larry Bishop, Frontier director of corporate communications in Denver. Many people "are going east to get west, west to get east," he said.

Lincoln Airport Authority Executive Director Rolland Han-said passenger traffic is down but that most people are still getting in and out of the city. Meanwhile, a Minneapolis air taxi, Chrystal Shamrock United Airlines flights have been canceled through Thursday as a result of the strike by the International Machinists and Aerospace Workers Assn. The action affected about persons in Lincoln who have had to cancel their flights or find other ways to travel. A United spokesman in Lincoln said alternative transportation has been found for most United passengers. Most are flying out of the city on Frontier or Air Wisconsin flights. Space is available on those two airlines because the strike fell during the "normally slack period before the storm of Christmas travel," said Ken Woods, Lincoln Frontier sales manager.
