Orlando Wyman, the roost capable architect of good basketball, has gone to a youth movement at the last two years and his move is already starting to pay off even though his roster doesn't contain a single senior. In fact, his starting Uaeup consists of three sophomores and two juniors! Wyman will be snooting for his seventh straight personal win over Jasper as a coach. His lifetime record against the Wildcats is 7.1 (4-1 at Tell City and 3-0 at Vincennes.) only win over a Wyman-coached team was in 1960 when the Cats prevailed, 67-49, second year at Tell City. Vincennes also holds a jinx over the Wildcats.

The Alices have won four straight from Jasper and seven of their last eight encounters. a big game for Jasper coach Ed Schultheis who has never beaten a Wyman-coached team or a Vincennes team. 499TH GAME When Wyman starts pulling the strings at the start of contest it will mark his 499th game as a head coach. And his record is something else. His overall mark in coaching (this is his 19th year) is 365 wins and only 133 losses, a percentage of .733.

We saw at Washington and they were real Wyman appeared to be looking for sympathy as he drawled, all rights Jasper has far too much size and experience for us but we are at least going to try to hang in there and hope to at least make the game interesting.9’ A TOUGH PLACE Wyman, like roost other coaches, Laver Beats Ashe Sixth Straight Time NEW YORK (UPI) Australian Rod Laver has extended his mastery over Virginian Arthur Ashe to six straight matches, but the American ace may get a chance for revenge next week because of the of his old mentor, 42-year-old Pancho Gonzalez.

Laver subdued Ashe, 7-5, to win his fifth consecutive $10,000 match in the $210,000 Tennis Champions Classic at Madison Square Garden Thursday night. That boosted the 32-year-old lifetime record against Ashe to 6-0, but Ashe could get another crack at the red-haired left-hander next Thursday night at the Garden. The scheduled challenger, Gonzalez, has asked from his Los Angeles home to be released from the tournament. The slot will be determined by a Detroit match" pairing Ashe against Aussie Ken Rosewall. win Thursday night increased his classic earnings thus far to one quarter of the record total prize money of $201,953 which he earned last year.
