On Indian Lake, north of Manistique, walleve fishing IS improving. with some limit catches report. Fishermen have been successful for walleyes on Big Manistique Lake with some nice catches reported.

Brook trout fishing has been good on the headwaters of the Tahquamenon above McMillan. Several large trout reported recently. Rainbow runs have been tapering off somewhat on sterams emptying into Lake Superior. however. fishermen were having good luck for rainbows at the mouth of the Big-Two Heart In the Eastern portion of the district, walleyes were hitting In Maxton Bay near DeTour and heavy runs of jumbo perch were reported in Maud Bay.

Whitefish still being taken in Upper St. Marys River--small minnows and crawlers used as bait---nice catches reported. In the Lower St Marys, at south end of Sugar Island. perch, walleses. and rock bass were being taken.

In the Lake George and 9 Mile point areas, good catches of perch and some walleves were reported.
