2 THE HILLSDALE NEWS, Saturday, November 28, 1970 Couple Wed In Afternoon Rites PITTSFORD Marcia ljee Vernier and Anthony J. Noto were married at St. John's Vianney Church in Grand Rapids. The Rev. Robert Hire performed the afternoon double ring ceremony.

Standing baskets of white chrysanthemums decorated the chancel. Crowley played a prelude of organ music and the soloist, Kris Lyons, sang Time for Two" and The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a floor length gown of white satin fashioned with an A-line skirt, scooped neckline, lantern sleeves and Venise lace trim. Her train was of tiered lace and her shoulder-length veil was secured by a petal headpiece. Following the nuptial ceremony, a dinner for 230 guests was held at the church dinning room. At 8 p.m. a reception for 450 guests was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. John Noto and Mr.

and Mrs. Lowell Smith. Music was provided by the Wonderland Trio. The five-tiered wedding cake featured a winding staircase down the side and the table was centered with candelabra and floral arrangements. The rehearsal dinner was given by Mr.

and Mrs. Peter Noto at the Comet in Grand Rapids. Pre-nuptial showers were given by Mrs. lister Fraser and Mrs. Carl Hinkley and by Kay Corwin, Connie Lake, Mrs.

Anthony Lomonoco, Vita Noto, Mrs. George Mott and Mrs. Vee Licata. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Lewis Vernier of Pittsford. She was graduated from Pittsford High School, Jackson Community College and Foote Hospital School of Radiologic Technology. She is now employed at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.

Peter James Noto of Wyoming. He was grauated from Grand Rapids High School, Grand Rapids Junior College and attended Grand Valley College. He is employed as a blueprint reader for Steele Case Corporation in Grand Rapids. The couple has returned from a wedding trip to Niagara Falls and is at home at 525 Andover Kentwood. Miss Good, C.

Smith United In Marriage SOMERSET CENTER Christine Good, daughter of Mrs. Jessie W. Good of Somerset Center, and Charles Michael Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald B.

Smith of Jackson, were married at the Seventh-day Adventist Church by the Elder Ola Robinson. Attendants were her brother, Clayton Westfall, Joe L. Dungy, Davis Pond, Phillip B. Westfall, Peggy Tingley and Penny Carl. A reception was held at the church.

The three baby girls weighed five pounds, 10 ounces; six pounds, 10 ounces and seven pounds, two ounces for a total weight of over 1H pounds. Mrs. Bromley was the first stenographer Dr. Jennings had in Jackson. He attended Osseo School, graduated from Hillsdale High School and received his doctors degree in Ann Arbor.
