The deceased came to Lincoln from Oniaha soon after the stakes of the new city were set, and has held important trusts as Deputy County Clerk; City and Ulerkf the District Court, a good share of the time, and had a large circle of-friends. He leaves a large who have the sympathy of our entire community in their bereavement.

Now, to cap the climax, he proposes tb give the gross receipts of his saloon to-day, to the yellow fever sufferers of the South'.
