How many players are there on such a 'century' mot ml? At first glance the release seemed to answer those questions.

But further study after it was already in print and it was too late showed it was full of errors. The release said, "Since 1963 only six Husker runners nave managed to post two or more games of 100-yards or -more in a season. Jeff Kinney, the workhorse of the 1970-71 national championship era is the leader with three 100-plus days." Actually Eight Turns out a pair of guys named Davis were overlooked. Tony Davis gained over 100 yards, on six separate occasions last season. The other is Dick Davis, who had three 100-plus days in 1967.

Kinney had six 100-plus days (not three), to share the total leadership with Tony Davis. Jeff had one in 1969, two in '70 and three in '71. Next comes Joe Orduna with four twice in 1968 and two more in '70. Dick Davis and Harry Wilson (two in '66, another in '65) each had three. In addition to Anthony, who has already had two (Northwestern and Colorado), Rudy Johnson (1963) and Ron Kirkland (1965) each had two 100-plus efforts in the same season.

Ben Gregory also had two 100-plus days as a Cornhusker, but one came in 1966, the other the next season. Count him, and you have nine different players who passed the century mark on more than one occasion in the last 12 years. In addition, Frank Solich (the alltime leader with a 204-yard day in 1965), Dennis Claridge, Gary Dixon, Bill Olds, and current Cornhuskers John O'Leary and Jeff Moran have each had one.
