August 9, 1956 P.M. Lincoln Evening Journal and Nebraska State Journal Miss Ruth Ann Kettelhut of Bennet BENNET- and Mrs. Harvey C. Kettelhut announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Ruth Ann, to Marion Widick, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Maurice S. Widick. Mr. Widick attended the University of Nebraska. The wedding will be an event of August.

On Honeymoon in Ozarks FAIRBURY Miss Marian Goeller, and Jerald L. Warren, were married Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Marks. Parents of the are Mr.

and Mrs. Loy M. Goeller of Reynolds and Mr. and Mrs. George A.

Warren. Mr. and Mrs. Marks are grandparents of the bridegroom. The Misses Florence Bodtke and Doris Oglesby, bridesmaids, also lighted the tapers.

The bride" chose a gown of chantilly lace and nylon tulle over satin. Her veil fell from a tiny lace cap and she carried an orchid on a white Bible. Mrs. Dayrel Warren was matron of honor. Dayrel M.

Warren served as best man and groomsmen were Joseph Huber and Dale Michaels. Following a wedding trip to the Ozarks and Illinois, Mr. and Mrs. Warren will make their home at 833 Elmwood in Lincoln. Quick Dessert A hurry up dessert that promises elegant eating is cake with a creamy fruit filling.

The 15 guests presented Miss Miller with a party gift. A linen shower was given for Miss Carol Hart by Miss Janet Stein at the home of her parents. Miss Hart will wed Edwin J. Bryson on Aug. 19.

Miss Kareen Nelson- was feted at a miscellaneous evening shower by Mrs. Donald Nelson at her home. Miss Nelson will marry Marvin G. Stoll on Sept. 1.

Also honoring the September bride-to-be were Mmes. Clare Ricket, Russ -Eisele, Br Fuller. The miscellaneous eveshower was at the home of ning Mrs. Eisele. A prenuptial courtesy honoring Miss Marilyn Folmer, who will wed Ross on Sept.

2, was given by A Herman Dell and Brown, Jack Folmer, a dessert supper at the Dell home. Daughter Is Born Mr. and Mrs. Ted Collins of Indianapolis, are the parents of a daughter, Mollie Sue, born Monday at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Mrs.

Collins is the former Marie Lebsock of Lincoln. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Maul have left for Indianapolis SO that Mrs. Maul may be with her sister, Mrs.

Collins, and to visit the Mauls' son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wilson. he in Nelson and Upland, and she in Lincoln. They are making their home at 4816 No 70th.

From Detroit, come the David E. Gregorys who live at 822 Lyncrest Dr. Mr. Gregory is an attorney with a Lincoln firm. He is originally from Weatherly, and Mrs.

Gregory is of Monroe City, Mo. Her sister, Mrs. D. D. Wainscott, and niece, Mrs.

W. Finke, arc Lincolnites. Mr. and Mrs. Dale A.

Wallace and their four children, have moved to 5726 Madison from Plainview, Tex, Joan, 15, will attend Northeast High, Brooke, 11, and Dana Kay, 9, wit both enter Pershing, and Valerie, 7, will start school at Northeast Child Center. Mrs. Wallace's homet own is Milan, and although Mr. Wallace grew up in Red Wing, he was born in Nebraska. Mr.

and Mrs. William Keeney and son, Billy, 3, have returned now that Mr. Keeney has received his discharge from the Navy. He taught naval history at Notre Dame University while were stationed In South Bend, Ind. Mr.

Keeney plans to attend the University of Nebraska to obtain an engineering degree. He graduated in Business Administration from the university before entering the navy. He is affiliated with Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, and Mrs. Keeney with Alpha Chi Omega. She also attended the university.

Mrs. Keeney's sister, Mrs. R. D. Conroy, lives in Lincoln.

She is of Omaha and Lincoln, and Mr. Keeney is originally of Red Oak, Ia. They are living at 2601 Woodsdale. Returning after 18 months in Beatrice, are Mr. and Mrs.

Harold L. Harpster. The Harpsters home is at 2011 So. 10th. They have two married children, Mrs.

Harry Hoffman of Lincoln, and Harold Jr. of Memphis, -Tenn. Mrs. Harpster is originally of Beatrice, and her husband is of Dunbar. Mr.

and Mrs. Ralph P. Cuca have been transferred to Lincoln from Evanston, Ill. Evanston is Mr. Cuca's home town, and Mrs.

Cuca is of Chicago. They have a daughter, Margaret, 5, who will attend Sacred Heart School this fall. The Cucas live at 3417 Starr. Fontana, was the home of Mr. and Mrs.

Clarence H. Cleveland before they moved to Lincoln at 624 So. 37th. The Clevelands have two children, Janet, who will be 4 in October, and Gary, 17 months. Mr.

Cleveland's sister, Mrs. Ben Cherney, and brother, Arthur Cleveland, are Lincolnites. Mr. Cleveland is originally from Agenda, and his wife is from Lake Geneva, Wis. Mr.

and Joe E. Trahan and their three children, Bonnie Jo, 10, Ronald James, 7, and Deborah Sue, 2, are new Lincolnites. Previous to their move, the family lived in Seward. Bonnie and Ronald will attend Prescott in the fall. Mrs.

Trahan's aunts, Mrs. William Koch and Mrs. Emma Sorge live here. Mrs. Trahan is formerly of Deshler, and Mr.

Trahan is of Lafayette, La. Diller's Oldest Citizen DILLER Marking her 97th birthday Thursday is Miss Effie Roelfs. She is the eldest of 12 children of the late Mr. and Mrs. George.

Roelfs. Miss Roelfs was born Aug. 9, 1859, in Great Seal, Holland. The Roelfs family moved to this country in 1868 and made their home in Illinois until 1902 when they came to Diller. The honoree makes her home with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr.

and Mrs. Henry Schultis. Among her other brothers a and sisters are Miss Clara Roelfs, 76, of this community, Ben, 92, of Beatrice; Mrs. Anna Northrup, 90, of Bluffs, and Ubbo, 86, of Fairbury. Tomato Bake Tomatoes stuffed witl.

Alvin Berger (Barbara Loucks), and Miss Nadine Hale and Myron Milder, all of Omaha, are hosts at the Elton Loucks home in Omaha. Mrs. Margaret Eiker was the guest of honor at a luncheon given today at Twin Pines by the Mmes. H. W.

Cullinan and Sarah Tucker, Birthday Club members were present to honor Mrs. Eiker before she leaves at the end of the week for Sparta, where she will make her new home. Mrs. Glen Yetter and children, Vicky Jo and Scotty, of New Orleans, are here for a visit with Mrs. Yetter's parents, Mr.

and Mrs. Walter F. Wilson. The marriage of Helen Howard and Arthur Srb will be solemnized Tuesday at 8 p.m. in Tabernacle Christian Church.

Maid of honor will be Miss Lois Srb and attending his brother as best man will be Richard Srb. Miss Donna Lemon will be bridesmaid and ushering will be Milan Malac of Omaha, and Kay Srb, also of Omaha. The bride-elect will be feted at a Monday morning coffee when the prospective bridegroom's mother, Mrs. Hugo Srb; entertains. Monday evening Robert Howard will be host at a prenuptial dinner party at the Cornbusker Hotel in honor of his sister, and her fiance.

Miss Carroll Ann Griffin will be honoree at a kitchen shower and dessert supper Tuesday evening with Mrs. Joe Carroll as hostess. Miss Griffin will become the bride of DonaldSept. 8. Mr.

and Mrs. Dale Anderson of East Lansing, are the house guests of Mrs. Anderson's parents, Dr. and Mrs. Frank A.

Court. Following the wedding of Miss Nancy Chantry and Frank Court Saturday afternoon in West Point, the Andersons will return to East Lansing. En route they will stop in Atlantic, to visit Mr. Anderson's parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Virt Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. C. Russell Mattson and Virginia, have returned from a two vacation spent on the West Coast.

While away, the Mattsons visited San Francisco, Los Angeles and Disneyland. Mrs. Jerald L.
