WMaMeiashr Bowl Games Miami Is Slim Ohe-Poiut Favorite f.YZ 1 4 perlment so that; the game does not clash with an afternoon battle featuring the New York Titans and a televised Liberty Bowl game at nearby Philadelphia between Vil-lanova and Oregon State. Nebraska and Miami fans will view the game live on ABC-TV but the rest of the country will have to wait for the 90-minute showing of the game on Wide World of Sports, a video-taped presentation. The game itself, which has captured the imagination of metropolitan fans, will feature the hummingbird darting and pinpoint passing of Mira against Nebraska's bigger line and strong running attack. By DICK BECKER New York City The Gotham Bowl presents its second annual production here Saturday at Yankee Stadium and according to oddsmakers it's the most even game of all the bowls. Miami has now been made a slim one-point favorite bat for all Intents and purposes the game will be a tossu? when Nebraska faces the Hurricanes.

Coach Bob Devaney's Huskers, buoyed by a fine 8-2 season, have just one main Job stop George Mira. If they do that, they'll rate a solid favorite to cop the first bowl victory in the school's 3rd post-season attempt. But others remember the way the Huskers were shut down by the wobbly passes of Oklahoma's Monte Deere and believe Mira will be too much for the Huskers. Nebraska, which lost the Rose Bowl to Stanford 21-13 in 1941 and the Orange Bowl to Duke in 1955, will be seeking to get the school's first bowl win as well as to eliminate a television jinx which has seen NU lose every time on national or regional TV. Mira, here last week to receive All-America honors, said he felt that the Hurricanes had fine backs to-go with his passing flock of fine pass receivers. The game will practically be a home game for Miami as most of the players are from Pennsylvania and New York state. The Hurricanes arrived here Thursday afternoon and are headquartered at the Barclay Hotel.

Nebraska comes in Friday afternoon and will stay at the Manhattan Hotel.
