Calling will be from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. Wednesday in Little Sons Funeral Home, Beech Grove. Mrs. Collins, who died Monday in Americana North, worked 35 years in the fine jewelry department of L. S.

Ayres, retiring in 1965. She was the widow of Jack Collins. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Survivor brother Richard Parish. Tillie G.

Marshall Services for Tillie G. Stanley Marshall, 92, Indianapolis, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Moore Kirk Irvington Chapel, with calling from 11 a.m. to services. Mrs.

Marshall, who died Saturday in Greenbriar Manor, was a cashier for Stop Shop Food Stores. Previously, she had worked 17 years for the YWCA until 1944. She was a member of Old Bethel United Methodist Church, Keystone Eastern Star, Neola Rebekah Lodge and Gold Star Mothers. She was the widow of Marion D. Griffey and Clarence L.

Marshall. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Survivors daughters Marguerite Furgason, Irene Griffey; stepdaughters Zona Chapin, Marian Stevens; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Clara M. Allen Services for Clara M.

Hill Allen, 84, Indianapolis, will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in Feeney-Hornak Shade-land Mortuary and 10 a.m. in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Calling will be until 8 tonight in the mortuary with a rosary at 7.

Mrs. Allen, who died Sunday, was a bookkeeper 20 years for Ohio Bearing Cleveland. Tilly Meyer Services for Tilly Kaufmann Meyer, 83, Indianapolis, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Meridian Hills Mortuary. Mrs.

Meyer, who died July 8, worked 20 years for Davidson's at Glendale Shopping Center, retiring in 1985. Previously, she had worked six years for Kor-shak's of Chicago and 20 years for the former Blocks department store. She was a member of Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation, National Council of Jewish Women and Ha-dassah. Memorial contributions may be made to Hooverwood Guild. She was the widow of Albert Britenstein.

and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Allen Funeral Home. Mrs. Stephens, formerly of Indianapolis, died Monday. She was a longtime private secretary to the Rev.

James P. Higgins and surrogate mother to countless Catholic students at Indiana University. Mrs. Stephens began working for Rev. Higgins at Cathedral High School in Indianapolis 1958.

Mrs. Stephens followed Father Higgins to Chatard High School in 1964 and finally to St. Paul Catholic Center, Bloomington in 1968. At the center, she also worked for the Revs. Kim Wolf and Robert Sims in Bloomington the last nine years.

Besides doing secretarial work at St. Paul Center, Mrs. Stephens was a bookkeeper and "mother" to many students. The center serves 6,000 to 7,000 students and provides church services and counseling. Memorial contributions may be made to St.

Paul's Catholic Center Renovation Fund or Leukemia Society in care of the funeral home. Survivors sons Jay Mark Philip Stephens; daughters Patricia Gudas, Jeannie Bower, Joan P. Harvey E. Grow 27, Indianapolis, died Monday in Wishard Hospital. Mr. Grow was a mechanic two months for Stout's R.V. He was an Army veteran.

Cole Services for Stella Catherine Long Cole, 86, Indianapolis, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, with calling from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Mrs. Cole, who died Sunday, was a telephone operator 20 years for Thomson McKinnen, retiring in 1974. Previously, she had been an operator 15 years for Indiana Bell Telephone Co. She was a member of Beech Grove Eastern Star. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

She was the widow of Leo V. Cole. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood. Survivors daughter Joan Konnad; son John D. Cole; brother Chester Long; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Flanner Buchanan Broad Ripple Mortuary. There will be no calling. A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Dr. Roberts started as medical director of Western Electric's Buffalo (N.Y.) operations, where he served three years.

In 1969, he came to the company's Indianapolis plant as medical director, serving as employee physician and department head 17 years until retiring in 1986. He was a graduate of Hofstra University and New York University Medical School. Dr. Roberts was past president of the Indianapolis chapter of the American Lung Association and a former board member of the Indianapolis chapter of the American Heart Association. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Indianapolis Museum of Art. Survivors wife Mary B. Mr. Cheeks, who died Friday in Miller's Merry Manor, worked 15 years for Continental Optical retiring in 1962. Previously, he had worked 25 years for Armour Meat Packing Co. He was a member of the Men's League at the church. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Ronald L. Seals Funeral Home, Fortville, is handling local arrangements. Mrs. Taylor, formerly of Loogootee, died Sunday. She was a member of First Baptist Church at Washington.

throughout his life as he organized a junior council to help the Crossroads of America Council grow and prosper in the early 1930s. Mr. Hook had been a member of the Crossroads of America Council's board of directors and its past president. He was presented scouting's highest award, the Silver Buffalo, for his work. He was campaign chairman of the old United Fund of Greater Indianapolis; chairman of the Indiana Mental Health Association fund drive; vice chairman of Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis research; a former member of the Indianapolis 500 Festival Associates; president of the National Association of Chain Drug Stores; twice president of the Associated Chain Drug Stores and was affiliated with many other organizations.

Mr. Hook also had been a director of the Better Business Bureau. He was named Indianapolis "distinguished citizen of the year" in 1963. Mr. Hook was a sailing enthusiast and a past commodore of the Indianapolis Sailing Club.

He was a Tech High School graduate and a 1929 graduate of Purdue University with a degree in pharmacy. He was a varsity football player at Purdue, where he also was on the polo and captain of the swimming team. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Kenney Teresa A. Schneider Kenney, 89, Indianapolis, formerly of Hammond, died Monday in St. Vincent Hospital. Mrs. Kenney was an accountant in retail.

Services will be-at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hammond, with calling from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Dalton Funeral Home, Hammond. Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary is handling local arrangements.

Survivor son Michael J. Kenney. Genevieve Lawrence Genevieve Horrell Lawrence, 90, Speedway, formerly of West Frankfort, died Sunday at her home. Mrs. Lawrence was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, West Frankfort, III.

Ethel B. Suits VASS, N.C. Ethel B. Taylor Suits, 85, formerly of Indianapolis, died Friday in Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, N.C. Mrs.

Suits was a graduate of Butler University, Indianapolis. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ethel B. Suits Memorial Fund, co Route 2, Box 106B, NC 28394. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Gothic Chapel, Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis.

Schroeder, 86, Indianapolis, credited with being one of the world's first amateur radio operators, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Flanner Buchanan Broad Ripple Mortuary. There will be no calling. Schroeder, who died Sunday, was among the world's first amateur radio operators, receiving his three letter call, 9JQ, in 1923. In 1937 he designed and installed the first two-way radio communication system for the Lafayette (Ind.) Police Department. During World War II, he was in charge of an east coast Federal Communications station, monitoring for unauthorized usage of wartime radio. Mr. Schroeder was a graduate of Purdue University.

Before retiring to Port Richey, he had worked for the Federal Aviation Administration in air navigational aids, Washington, D.C. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity. Mr. Smith, who died Friday at his home, was a self-employed house painter many years, retiring several years ago. Burial will be in New Crown Cemetery. "Bud" Hook, chairman emeritus of Hook Drugs and a national leader in the Boy Scout program, died Monday at his Indianapolis home. He was 85. Mr. Hook received his pharmacy degree from Purdue University and then attended Harvard Graduate School of Business. He then became a store manager for Hook Drug the company his father, John A.

Hook, founded more than 91 years ago on Indianapolis' near Southside. Over the next several years, Mr. Hook learned the drug store business, serving as stores inventory manager, buyer of tobaccos and candies, director of personnel and vice president in charge of store operations. He was elected president in 1956, chairman of the board in 1972 and chairman emeritus in 1978. During the years at the helm of Hook Drugs, Mr.

Hook spearheaded the growth of Hook's from a chain of 56 drugstores mostly in urban settings to more than 250 in 1978, all of which were modern outlets in suburban neighborhoods. Hook Drugs is now a division of Hook-SupeRx and operates more than 400 drugstores in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan and Kentucky. Russell D. Mesalam, president of the Hook Division, said, "Bud Hook was truly a leader in the chain drug store industry. Under his tutelage, Hook's prospered and became one of the premier chains in the country." Mr.

Hook had been active in the Boys Scouts since boyhood, when he became an Eagle Scout. His love of scouting continued Paul D. Michael Paul D. Michael, 78, Indianapolis, died Monday in Community Hospital East. Mr.

Michael was a construction worker for Wilson Construction Co. 15 years, retiring in 1978. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars posts in Greenwood. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Shirley Brothers Drexel Chapel, with calling from 3 to 8 p.m.

Bucy Stephen V. Bucy, 45, Indianapolis, died Monday. Mr. Bucy was manager of building operations for Christian Church Services, 12 years. He was a member of Camby Community Church.

Wednesday in Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, with calling until 8 tonight. Mrs. Kendall died Sunday. She worked as a secretary before she and her husband became owners of Fields Roto Rooter Service. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and attended First United Methodist Church.

Isidore Catholic Church at Bris-tow. Huber Funeral Home at Tell City handled arrangements. Mrs. Leamons, formerly of Indianapolis, died Friday. She was a cook supervisor at Branchville Training Center and a member of the church.
