She said she suspected he had run away with Lynch. Authorities believe Lynch. Stafford and Atkinson stole a van in Indianapolis and drove to Russell, where they stole a motor home. They were stopped at 1:48 a.m. for a traffic violation in downtown Barstow by two officers.

Barstow Officer Steven Kirby received minor injuries when two gunshots struck his bulletproof vest. Other officers chased the motor home to a nearby railroad yard where the shootout occurred. Atkinson died at the scene and Stafford died at Barstow Community Hospital. Officials at the IPD missing persons' branch said Stafford had been reported as a runaway twice before and Lynch four times previously. New job title OK The Indianapolis News LEBANON.

Ind. An ordinance permitting establishment of a new Job title and salary scale for the Lebanon Parks Department has been approved on a 5-2 vote by the city council.
