A-12 Wednesday. March 14, 1990 THE INDIANAPOLIS NEWS Rock breaks bus glass Firefighter Kenny Dotson arj Station 20 said the safety glass shattered, but did not penetrate the driver's clothing. No injuries were reported. There were no passengers on the bus. The driver was identified as John Marlar.

Barstow Officer Steven Kirby received minor injuries when two gunshots struck his bulletproof vest. Other officers chased the motor home to a nearby railroad yard where the shootout occurred. Atkinson died at the scene and Stafford died at Barstow Community Hospital.
