There will be no postal delivery Monday, and all city-county offices will be closed. State and Federal offices also will be closed, as well as all major banks. Normal trash collection will take place on Monday. The Indianapolis Police Depart-; ment notes that parking meter zones will not be enforced from 6 p.m. on Saturday to 6 a.m.

on Tuesday. Motorists are asked to observe all temporary parking restrictions in effect for special parade or race day activi-' ties. You'll be in for a surprise if you try to purchase auto license plates tomorrow in Marion County. All branches of the license bureau will be closed because of heavy traffic expected in Indianapolis prior to Sunday's 500-Mile Race. License branches will also be closed on Monday because of the Memorial Day holiday, but will reopen Tuesday at 9 a.m.

The branches are normally open the last Saturday of the month through June, but this year will be closed in "order to avoid confusion." Employes of the Indianapolis-Marion County Public libraries will have a long weekend, too.
