He was a member of the C o n c e r n e d Neighbors and before his illness, he was a member of the Lu- lac, Knights of Columbus Council No. 2710, the M e x i c a n Chamber of Commerce, and was long active in the Democratic Party. He was a candiate for County Commissioner Pet. #2 in 1974. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Chapel. Hendricks, 87, of Alma, Kansas, died there on Monday at 4 a.m. in a nursing home after a long illness. He was born in Webber, Kansas and had m o v e d t o A l m a t w o months ago from Corpus Christi. He was a long time resident of Corpus Christi and was a retired United States Postal employee. He was a veteran of WWI and a member of the South Bluff United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Odd Fellow Lodge No. 51, Glasgow, Montana and a member of the Odd F e l l o w N u e c e s Lodge No. 96 of Corpus Christi. He had been an Odd Fellow for the past 60 years. She was r e a r e d and e d u c a t e d there and moved to Corpus Christi in 1939 with her late husband, Robert C. Myres, who owned and operated the South Texas Linen Supply. He died April 26, 1966. She made her home at their ranch In Hamilton, Texas for several years before returning to Corpus Christi 19 years ago.
