SIIULL -The blastoff of the little moonship Falcon from the moon yesterday was one of those TV events which tests credibility. It was so slick, so simple and the color TV so good it looked more like one of those phony studio "simulations" than a simulation. It was a perfect telecast of a never-before-seen event, something akin to the awe in the audience when magician Harry Blackstone used to make an elephant disappear before your Color Up Nearly half of all the TV homes in America now have color TV according to research by NBC based on industry data. More than 2 million homes have converted to color so far this year, raising the total to 29.7 million color homes or 48.2 per cent of the total homes with TV. The network commentators back on earth had warned of fire, smoke, and great clouds of dust when the Falcon disengaged from its landing pedestal and departed the moon. But it wasn't like that at all. The little white spaceship gently lifted off the orange-colored base with a small whoosh of flame and climbed to the top of the screen like a yo-yo ascending its string.

There were no great clouds of smoke or dust. And when the ship had disappeared, the left-behind remnants of the trip continued to And out in Hollywood, Barry Glazer, an associate producer for Dick Clark's "American Bandstand," graduate of Indiana University, and son of Mrs. Henry Glazer of 464 E. 75th is getting married. The grand plan originally called for the camera to track the Falcon, but accumulated dust in its little joints made it sticky to maneuver. So it sat motionless with its one eye surveying the abandoned moonscape before it.

The departure of the Falcon from the moon was somewhat like the Kentucky Derby a world of anticipation and excitement crammed into moments of action. The astronauts even provided their own traveling music in a genuine show biz finale to the spectacular which started Saturday morning when the Apollo 15 astronauts began their biggest show ever from the moon's surface.
