INDIANAPOLIS NEWS Wednesday, August 21, 1968 THE Rites Friday For Harold Chambers Special to The News SEYMOUR, Ind. Services for Harold Edward Chambers, 55, retired a 30-year member of the Indiana state police, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Voss Chapel. Chambers, who retired from the state police with the rank of detective sergeant Jan. 31, 1968, died yesterday at Veterans Administration Hospital, Louisville, where he had been a patient several weeks.

Except for the years from 1942 to 1946, when he served with the shore patrol of the Postoffice Here In Safety Survey The News Washington Bureau WASHINGTON-The Indianapolis postoffice is one of 100 being surveyed by the Labor Department as to safety conditions. The safety survey was requested by Postmaster General W. Marvin Watson in a program to reduce accidents and costs in the postal service. Safety inspectors of the Labor Department will be assigned to the 100 postoffices to make detailed studies of accident conditions and prevention techniques. IU Gets Speech Grant Special to The News BLOOMINGTON, Indiana State Board of Health has awarded a $33,029 grant to Indiana University for 1968-69 to support a project to provide speech rehabilitation services to persons who have suffered a language loss because of strokes or other causes of brain injury.
