Register Diamond Den, LC.MaU,by8p.m.,Nov.U. 103-lt Moforhome explosion two women Lewis County Sheriff Two Seattle women who escaped serious injury in a raotorbome explosion on Friday were to be released Tuesday from Morton General Hospital They are Lillian Olson and Shirley Soggie, both 52. They were inside the motorhom when the roof blew off in an explosion caused by a leaky valveto an oven thermostat fueled by propane gas. Both received multiple burns and were taken to the hospital by Margaret Eide.

The explosion occurred on the Krans Ridge Tload just off of VS. Forest Service Road 125 seven miles south of Handle at 4 a.m., Friday. A 33-year-old Handle man remained in custody Tuesday morning pending charges of assault and burglary stemming from a family altercation in the Randle area. An estimated J1.500 worth of logging cable and other equipment was stolen in the Kosmos Road area since last Thursday, belonging to Portway Logging Toledo. and Logging Glenoma, also reported the theft of five wheels and tires from a trailer parked on U.S.

Forest Service Road 123 eight miles south of Randle over the weekend. Value of the tires and wheels was $1,375. Autumn rain, fog and poor visibility caused two backing out accidents Monday evening in Centralia. Donald McLeod and Joseph Borte, Centralia, collided at at 6:45 p.m., on the Centralia High School parking lot John Mod. 52, Rochester, and Mark Reins, Centralia, collided on Harrison Avenue at 7:11 p.m.

Vehicle damages in the two accidents totaled an estimated $4S5. Chehalis State Patrol A 17-year-old Winlock girl, Deoborah J. LuU. received cuts and bruises when she lost control of her automobile on a curve one mile north of Winlock and overturned her car over an embankment by the mainline railroad tracks. The accident occurred at 1:20 p.m.

Dengler, 20, Cbehalis, collided al 5:40 Monday oo the While Pass Highway four miles east of Mossyrock. 59, Oakville, was demolished Monday at 8:05 p.m. when it collided with a bridge railing three miles east of Oakville on the Centralia-Elma Highway. Bland sustained a broken leg and was listed in fair condition Tuesday at Olympia's St Peter Hospital His truck was damaged beyond repair. Damages amounted to $150. The damage apparently occurred over the weekend. Olympia State Patrol A 1957 pickup truck, towing a I960 travel trailer, went off SR121 Tnesd ay at 2:30 a.m. in Littlerock. Troopers said the vehicles failed to negotiate a comer.

HOWARD E. BUCK Memorial service for Howard E. Black. 72, Seattle, a former Centralia resident, was Tuesday at the John Knox Presbyterian Church in Burien. Mr.

Black died Nov. 13. He was born July 26.1904, in Ceolralia. the son of Mr. and Mrs.

Walter N. Black, pioneer residents. He graduated from Centralia High School and attended Washington State University. He was a pharmacist and was employed by Garrison's Drug Store. Mr.

Black had been with McKesson 4 Bobbins drug firm for 45 years, retiring in WO. For the past five years, he bad been a sen ice representative for Carlan, and serviced the Pay'N Save stores in the Western Washington area. He was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church, Burien. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy: a son. Walter R.

Black. La Jolla, a daughter, Mrs. Johnnie (Dianne) Johnson. WoodinvOle; two stepsons. Michael Grady.

Gladstone, and Dennis Grady, Veneta, two sisters, Mrs. Frank Hoard, Seattle, aad Mrs. George D. Rove, Burien; two grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren, four nieces and one nephew. Remembrances may be donations to the John Knoi Presbyterian Church.

William (Virginia L) Hefley. 54, a resident of Salkum for the past three years, died Monday in a Cenlralia hospital She was born Sept. 2,1922. in Shelby, Ohio, and was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church, Lakewood, Calif. Survivors include her husband, Bill, at home; a son, Kenneth Nasser, Long Beach, a stepson, M.C.

Hefley, El Centro, her mother, Mrs. Delores Varrelman, Salkum; a brother, Richard A. Newkirk, Tacoma; three granddaughters, a grandson, and three nephews. Services will be Thursday, I p.m., at the Salkum Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brown Mortuary Service, Chehalis.

DeANA JOYE (CISSY) WADE MORTON DeAna Joye (Cissy) Wade, infant daughter of Wayne and Dorothy Wade, died Monday in a Morton hospital. In addition to her parents, survivors include two sisters. Decrees of dissolution of marriage have been granted in Lewis County Superior Court to: Stanley D. and Trudy R. Slowe. The Chehalis City Council Monday passed several ordinances, endorsed several proclamations and heard a report on the Chehalis River Basin Committee. An ordinance regulating off-street parking in the downtown area was passed on second reading.

Also approved was an ordinance budgeting $7,191 in the park fund. The money was obtained from tie Federal Disaster Assistance Administration for flood damages at Stan Hedwall Park and Alexander Part last sinter. Councilman Ted Rambo reported on a recent meeting of the Chehalis ver Basin Committee, indicating the group was split on whether it still has any function to perform.
