untied Samuel Acker testified that deceased boarded with him at 51 Lafayette street; that one week ago.think Tuesday or Wednesday of last week, deceased left his house after breakfast, and that he had not seen him since. For two or three weeks before deceased It-It had noticed that he was very much depressed in was embanessed in his pecuniary affairs, and had some trouble in i elation to arrest for alleged crime. Elisha Chase testified that on the evening of Tucsdav of last week he saw him at his office; that was the last time witness had seen him. He was an agent for the procuring of pensions and county land warrants; for two or three weeks had been troubled about money mat ters. The same day a man told witness that he had met deceased three or four miles above the man came to inquire-for deceased, supposing that he had returned. Deceased had engaged a horse to come up the country about six mile-s, but did not take it.
