Doster of the tavern was standing in front of the build ing when he Nestrowitz lying on the highway police reported Three Lawton boys who gave chase to a car which was sus pected of hitting the soldier in spected the car which police im pounded today The boys were Jerry Notting ham 1107 Wisconsin and his cous in Bobbie Nottingham 2701 11th and George Devine 1114 isconsin They told car driven east on US? 277 when they saw Nestrowitz lying on the road They said they stopped their car which was driven by Devine and turned around to help get the soldier off the road Car Swerves The witnesses stated at least one car swerved to avoid hitting the soldier who at one time was on his hands and knees in the road The three boys said a car then struck and ran over the soldier with the left front and rear tires passing over his body The car did not stop the witnesses report ed and they got in their car and gave chase from the scene west on US 277 to 11th north on lth to Lee Blvd west on Lee to
