Last night he died at Veterans Administration Hospital West 10th. He had been ill five years. His home was west of Danville. Born in Indianapolis, Mr. Brown had lived in this area all his life.

Formerly he had lived at Lawrence and was a graduate of Lawrence Central High School. Basketball was Mr. Brown's, delight. When he was in high school he was captain of the varsity team at Lawrence Central and played one year in the state tourney. He also played on the football team and took part in track.

Mr. Brown was an inspector at Allison's. He worked there before he went into the Navy in 1950 and went back to work there after his naval service. He developed Hodgkins Disease while he was in the Navy. In the Navy, Mr.

Shadeland after a seven-week illness. He was a native of Morgan County and lived near Lawrence since 1905. He retired from farming in 1952 and worked two years for the'state Highway Department. Mr. Curtis was a member of the Lawrence Methodist Church and the Lawrence Community Brotherhood.

Olin Morrison, 63, Grocer, Is Dead Olin B. Morrison, 63, 3506 Northwestern, owner of Morrison's groceries, died today in Methodist Hospital after a short illness. Mr. Morrison, a native of Indianapolis, owned stores at 30th and Northwestern and 60th and Northwestern. He had recently retired.

Mapes Dies at Age of 87 Mabel S. Mapes, 87, 2515 Talbot, died today in an Indianapolis nursing home. Born in Ward, N.Y., Mrs. Mapes had lived here 18 years. She was a member of the Broadway Methodist Church and the Women's Society of Christian Service.

Services will be held Monday at 4 p.m. in the Flanner and Buchanan Fall Creek Mortuary. Burial will be in Wells-ville, N.Y. India M. Griffin A 94-year-old woman who as a girl played tennis with James Whitcomb Riley in Martinsville died today.
